“Good eating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Shady Maple is the place you want to go for a large selection of food and good Pennsylvania Home Cooking. Might sound pricy but the price includes food, drinks, desserts, tax and gratuity. Pay one time and done. Senior discount for those over 60 and 10 and under at a reduced price. Birthday for birthday person is free with one paying guest. Have eaten here many times over the years and there is always plenty of food and plenty of variety. Check both sides because salad bar, entree's and dessert bars both serve different foods. Also, there are chefs at breakfast that make your eggs as requested. Lunch has burgers and variety of meats made to order. Dinner has steaks, seafood, chicken, etc to order. Holidays there are special happenings. Our family always enjoys going there to eat.
Also, if you don't want the smorgasboard, you can eat in the Cafe' in the lower level. They have a large soup and salad bar. Also, have many platters available and a grill for ordering your sandwiches.
Don't miss the gift shop. Many nice items available.

“Best buffet for quality and consistency”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

I never give buffet restaurants a five but this breaks all the rules. Excellent food, huge selection, good service. I have never been to a buffet with this good of food with that big of a selection. Everyone must try it at least once. There are desserts as far as the eyes can see.

“Reasonably priced and very high quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is right in the heart of the Amish community in PA. We went for breakfast on a Friday morning, and was initially shocked at how large the facility is. The buffet seems to go for miles, and everything tastes very high quality, for around the same price as a cheap chain buffet. Pastries are home made, you can get omelettes, pancakes, and eggs to order, and there is a nice selection of regional foods. It was delicious, and you will be very sad when you fill up! Just take a tablespoon of everything, so you can try it all!

“A Christmas week tradition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Lots of food, pretty wide selection. We always go for the brunch smorgasbord. You serve yourself and go back for whatever you want. It is pricey, and for me, I can't eat that much food, but my family enjoys it! They have a fabulous gift shop!

“Best bang for your buck”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My wife and I have been coming here for years. Great Amish food and lots of it. Today is free for my birthday. Steak, fish, chicken, and lots of Amish veggies and soup and salads and desserts.
