“A quiet get away, with excellent accomodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

We used a Groupon. The room was very quaint, the area is so pristine. We toured the museum in the town, the bookstore, and even the quickie mart.. Other places were closed due to snow.. but the breakfast and dinner at the Crestmont's restaurant were so perfectly made and quite delicious.. our table was adjacent to the fireplace, with a nice roaring fire.. yes, picture perfect !! The staff and townspeople couldn't get more friendly. We met the mayor who was so gracious and sweet.. Worth every dime..

Decided on a last minute get-away and found the Crestmont Inn online. The room was lovely and the dinner was fabulous. The Pumpkin Ravioli was my favorite, The staff was friendly and accommodating. Woke up to a coating of snow.....beautiful location. Noah and Bella were there to great us when we arrived..........nice touch. A special thank you to Jane who fixed our TV.

Room Tip: Loved the Strawberry Patch Room #7

We stayed at the crestmont inn 11/9-11/11/13. We booked this on a Groupon deal, had lttle reservation mix up so ended up staying in a different room each nite-Theresa's Suite and French Country cottage. both were clean, comfortable and spacious. the fridge in the room was great, as well as the jacuzzi tub. They have a little cafe room with coffee, tea, soda, fruit and cookies that is open all the time. There is also large entertainment room downstairs that would be great to use if you go with other couples to hang out in or play pool. The breakfast was delicious-nice items to choose from-the pancakes especially. Dinner was exceptional-we ate there both nights and was so pleased with the entrees and the wine list. The staff could not have been nicer. Since it was winter and cold, many shops in Eagles Mere are closed, but we did stop at 2 wineries in the area (Bird Song is a must-very eclectic host there) and went hiking at Ricketts Glen state park-gorgeous. We will definitely be back.

This was not an inexpensive getaway. Apparently there was a special Groupon discount and there was a full house but we were unaware and paid full price which would have been fine if we’d gotten what we expected. We were looking forward to a nice quiet getaway . Being October and perfect weather I wanted to open the windows and enjoy the peace and quiet. When we were shown to our room there was a window air conditioner going full blast so I turned it off and opened other windows. BIG MISTAKE. There was what appeared to be a really noisy generator below that ran nonstop. Did not sleep well because of the noise. Resigned to have AC on constantly. There was no closet or armoire to hang your items just wall pegs. The bathroom sink was pulled away from the wall.
There was a room where you could get coffee, tea and snacks. More often than not there were no clean mugs just used mugs and it was a mess. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm and had no fruit, just juices.

Very romantic, nice location, very good food, staff was very attentive, especially Natalie, but bed was not comfortable and wife barely slept. We would consider another in another suite or when they replace the mattress in the Dickinson Suite.

My husband and I took advantage of a Groupon getaway and found it to be a lovely place to stay. The staff was attentive, the meals were wonderful and the room was charming. We stayed in the Dickerson suite. The room was very comfortable and clean with many special touches, including a small pillow for use in the Jacuzzi. The one thing that I found odd is that the room does not have a dresser. Certainly not a negative, just surprising. We did appreciate the delicious cookies and ample drinks available. Also, the sweet potato pancakes were possibly the best pancakes I have ever had. Several things to be aware of: The restaurant is currently closed for dinner Monday and Tuesday (The website just says Monday). The shops in town are not open during the week. Also, the claw foot tub would be challenging for someone to step into if they had mobility issues. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

While there were nice aspects of the Crestmont (lovely location, good food, snack/beverage room), we were displeased with our room, Quiet Times. The name ended up being a bit ironic because the room had a fly issue--we found at least five dead flies during our stay, one of which was hidden underneath the made bed, not to mention the buzzing few that decided to become active around the time we were trying to fall asleep. Upon mentioning this issue at check out, the reply we received was: "we know." Staff made no effort to sincerely apologize or rectify our dissatisfaction. While leaving, we wondered why on earth the room would be available to guests if this was a known issue.
