“Could have been 5 stars”

Very romantic, nice location, very good food, staff was very attentive, especially Natalie, but bed was not comfortable and wife barely slept. We would consider another in another suite or when they replace the mattress in the Dickinson Suite.

My husband and I took advantage of a Groupon getaway and found it to be a lovely place to stay. The staff was attentive, the meals were wonderful and the room was charming. We stayed in the Dickerson suite. The room was very comfortable and clean with many special touches, including a small pillow for use in the Jacuzzi. The one thing that I found odd is that the room does not have a dresser. Certainly not a negative, just surprising. We did appreciate the delicious cookies and ample drinks available. Also, the sweet potato pancakes were possibly the best pancakes I have ever had. Several things to be aware of: The restaurant is currently closed for dinner Monday and Tuesday (The website just says Monday). The shops in town are not open during the week. Also, the claw foot tub would be challenging for someone to step into if they had mobility issues. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

While there were nice aspects of the Crestmont (lovely location, good food, snack/beverage room), we were displeased with our room, Quiet Times. The name ended up being a bit ironic because the room had a fly issue--we found at least five dead flies during our stay, one of which was hidden underneath the made bed, not to mention the buzzing few that decided to become active around the time we were trying to fall asleep. Upon mentioning this issue at check out, the reply we received was: "we know." Staff made no effort to sincerely apologize or rectify our dissatisfaction. While leaving, we wondered why on earth the room would be available to guests if this was a known issue.

Saw the Crestmont Inn adverstised on Groupon, so we thought we would do a weekend getaway in the mountains and it was just that! Very beautiful town, so peacful and quiet. The B&B itself was very comfortable and felt like home. We stayed in the Dickerson Suite, it had a nice fireplace and king size bed and a jacuzzi tub. Perfect for a couples weekend. We did some nearby hiking at the Worlds End State Park and some wine tasting nearby as well. I would recommed this place to others. Also the food was very fun for dinner and the breakfast was excellent!

My husband and I heard about Crestmont Inn. We booked a night and went with friends. First impression is a quaint Inn in a very quiet area, Eagles Mere, PA. We were greeted by a very friendly staff who truly enjoy their job and care about the Inn. The room was charming. There was a wonderful recreation room and ample amounts of beverages and fresh baked cookies always available. We had dinner in the beautiful restaurant. It was one of the best meals all of us have had in a long time. The food was fresh and the staff was very attentive. Breakfast was included. Again, the food was great and the staff wonderful. We all agreed we would be back again soon. The owner/chef also has a bakery in the town of Eagles Mere. I would recommend the fresh baked bread and sticky buns.

First need to clarify what Crestmont Inn isn't. It's not the "typical B&B". It's a hotel that includes breakfast. We booked "The Woods' room and were very disappointed in the maintenance and upkeep for what we paid. The room needs some major rennovation. As an example, towel rack moved in bathroom and the old holesare still in the wall. The shelf above the sink needed some major repairs and paint. All of the walls in both the bathroom and sleeping room are in need of repair and paint. All of the wood work trim in both rooms needs to be completely painted. In the bedroom room, pictures were moved and the old nail holes are still there. All of the metal baseboard heating was bent and in several cases rusted. The ceiling fan had a gap in the ceiling where it was secured. Fortunately it was cool so we were able to leave a windo open (no screens) since the room does not have air conditioning. Not at all what we expected based on the overall ratings from TripAdvisor. When mentioend to staff, reply was "sorry". Do not stay inthe "Woods" room. Also, be aware that the restaurant is closed on Monday evenings. Had to drive 6 miles to find a restaurant that was open.

Room Tip: Do not stay in the "Woods" room. Also, double check to makes sure the room you book has a...

Took the wife away for her birthday for 3 nights (Th, Fr, Sa). We stayed in the "French Country Cottage" room. It was nice but not as nice as the photos on the website (fantastic job photographer) but was still acceptable. Hot tub was fantastic with plenty of hot water. Bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The game room downstairs was nice with pool, foosball, and plenty of board games; there is also a screened in porch but we didn't use it as it was rather chilly outside. We travel to this area a few times a year because we really love the Endless Mountain region of upstate PA and it's only a few hours from our home. This was our first time staying at the Crestmont and I'm CERTAIN we'll be back!

While in the area don't forget to check out the vistas at World's End state park, the 20+ waterfalls at Rickett's glenn. There is also some fantastic rock climbing and whitewater kayaking (seasonal) within a short drive through the country. For the less adventurous days I recommend a trip to Berry Fields Farm and maybe one of the wine tours (especially Lopez winery because it is like no other winery i've ever been to) :)

Room Tip: They leave the doors open when the rooms aren't occupied so we were able to see into many of the...
