“Very accommodating staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Eight members of a work group stayed overnight on a weekend at the Clarion. The staff were very flexible with our never ending list of requests, from early check-ins to bending the 2 night minimum weekend requirement. Additionally, each of our comfortably appointed rooms had a nice letter welcoming us, complete with candy, chapstick and tissues. All needed when braving the 7 degree chill of Groundhog Day. Thank you!

Recently I stayed at the Clarion and was surprised how nice the rooms are and had my first goodnight sleep in a week.
Don't let the outside look of this place fool you one bit,it's a nice place for a good price.

A well furnished and comfortable room, with very frriendly staff. I left my Ipad behind and did not
realize that for over a week. When I called, Robin informed me that Emilee in housekeeping
had turned it in to the manager's office. It was mailed to me the next day and I received it two days later. I'm grateful to the staff that my valuable property was safekept and returned so promptly.

we needed a stay for the night on our trip from Washington DC to Niagra and the Clarion was Ok.
The room was recently repainted so it looked nice, bathroom showed the age, but everything was clean.
Walls a little thin, you could hear the neighbours TV.
Wifi was good, parking sufficient.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I entered our room. We had a kindsize bed and the room looked like it came out of an upscale hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable with plenty of down pillows. The room was very clean and quiet. The only complaint I had was the coffee station in the morning. The coffee was in the middle of a side hallway and it needed filled, the coffee was empty and the cups needed filled not to mention it was very messy. There were no muffins or continental breakfast as they said. The hotel is across from a sheetz convenience store and that was a plus. I will stay again just for the comfort of the room.

Stayed here one night solo Wed September 5th 2012.

I have stayed along Rt 80 many times. 5 so far this year. This hotel will be on my list to visit again.

At first I thought I had made an error. The motel is not the easiest to get to from RT 80. You have to make a turn through the meridan. There were some utility trucks parked there at 5:00 PM. Those trucks are usually a bad sign - cheap motel on it's way down. Not so in this case.

The guy at the front desk was very friendly and effecient.

The room I had was facing the front parking lot. I noticed a restuarant ? night club entrance in the same parking lot. If anyone else drove through or parked in that lot - I didn't hear or see them.

The halls are clean and fresh smelling.

My room was very nice. Much better than I expected. Recently redone. Carpet, fisxtures and lighting were above averarge, Bathroom was in fine shape. The lighting was just adequate (minor flaw). I had two double beds (one would have been fine).

Couple oddities -- there is a microwave on a low refrigerator, the microwave cord goes up the wall to plug into a light fixture. There light over the sink mirror is on a tiny switch built-into the GFCI outlet. Hard to find in the dark.

Not a lot of diner options here. There was a Arby's next door. It is part of the Loves Truck / Car stop. Okay, but limited menu choices.

I got gas the next morning at Sheetz across the street. Also got a very good cup of coffee! Use the rear exit out of Sheetz - easier than turning against traffic.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express down the street a year or so ago. The Clarion is a much better deal.

I will stay here again next year, maybe sooner.

As noted, common areas dated and in need of upgrade. Rooms already remodeled and a job well done. You will be pleased- flat screen TV's, quality bedding and mattress, corian bathrooms, etc. Clean and quiet. Not a lot of options off I-80 in this area of Pa., but this is a fine choice for anyone.
