“Big city innovation in small town America”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

We have been to Honey many, many times and there is always something inspired on the menu. Every little detail is well thought out. The decor, the serving pieces, the presentation. The owners are friendly and work so hard. The chef comes up with the most unusual combinations. The food is just excellent, every type of soup they've made has been superb. They present you with a little appetizer at the start of the meal that is always wonderful. Now they have flights of wine to sample.
It's a great restaurant that would hold it's own in any big city.

“Treat Yourself”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2010

This restaurant is a diamond! Food is outstanding. It's pricy, but you're worth it. You could travel and not find a restaurant with better tasting food and presentation.

“Lived up to the Hype”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2010

I had heard my parents rave about Honey, but since I live in Philadelphia and have access to so many good restaurants, I was skeptical that it could live up to the hype. But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The food and ambiance were fantastic. I would definitely recommend it and am excited to go back with my wife.

“EXCELLENT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2010

My wife and I have had dinner in both Amada and Tinto, two great and highly-rated small plates restaurants in Philly and Honey is just as good if not better. We have also visited the Basque area of Spain where they specialize in tapas and, again, Honey, compares favorablly with anything we experienced there. You have to be willing to take some risks because the chef combines some items that don't appear at first to go together. For example, the spare ribs were combined with a side of ice cream. Sounds crazy but the spicy ribs blended beautifully with the sweet ice cream. A not-to-be-missed dessert is the Jamieson bread pudding with Guiness ice cream on top. Service was attentive but not intrusive. A couple of things to keep in mind (1) the bar is not fully stocked so don't expect to get a martini with Grey Goose vodka or a gin and tonic with Beefeater gin and (2) when I made a reservation for Saturday night, they took my credit card number and told me if I didn't show and didn't cancel by a certain time, they would charge my card $50.
