“Incredible, refreshing and FREE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Isn't life amazing? We are always in a hurry to get somewhere. This weekend we decided to stay close to home and relax in our own neighborhood. We visited Dingmans Falls and were surprised and pleased with the beauty of Mother Nature, Great parking, a short but steep climb and clean. Mother Nature at her best. There is a short walk on a boardwalk to the first falls, Silver Thread Falls. Built into the railing of the walk is a very long bench that you can sit on and enjoy the beauty of the falls while you relax or save the bench for the hike back to your car to catch your breath for a moment or two. Stop in the Ranger building for a quick movie of the history of the falls and surrounding area. The Rangers were exceedingly helpful and offered us lots of other great places to visit for FREE just a few miles from the falls. Very romantic and relaxing trip for us.

“The Falls Were Gushing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

We went to the falls on the day after a large storm had come thru the east coast. While hiking one of the trails we ran into a park ranger who said they'd never seen so much water going over the falls, and they were spectacular. The trails were very nice, including a long boardwalk type trail that led to the falls. Inside the park station, the rangers were very helpful and gave us info on the upper Delaware as well as other things to do in the water gap area.

“Dingmans Falls: Address, Falls & boardwalk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Address:

Dingmans Falls State Park

My GPS wont accept this address
224 Dingmans Falls Rd
Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328

This ADDRESS works for me
Silver Lake Rd & dingmans turpike, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328

From PA:
- At intersection of Silver Lake Rd & Dingmans Turn Pike (last light before the Dingmans Bridge).
- Look towards you right - you will see the Dingmans Falls State Park Board

From NJ:
- At intersection of Silver Lake Rd & Dingmans Turn Pike (right after Dingmans Bridge).
- Look towards your left at the first light - you will see the Dingmans Falls State Park Board

Two Falls
1. Silverthread Falls: Around 100 meters from the visitor office.
2. Dingmans Falls: Around 0.5 mile. A nice little wooden walkway to guide you through. There are 200+ stairs/board walk to reach to an overlook (not worth it for me due to tree in the line of sight) but you can give it a try.

Views ware reasonable for Free attraction. Good to spend an hour or two on you way. Nothing special.

“Natural Waterfalls (I'm not here for the mini-golf)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Already paid for with your taxes so it's free!!!! Drive up Highway 209 to Dingman's Falls Visitor Center where you will find two beautiful falls with nice and easily accessible boardwalks and optional climbing for additional viewing (we even saw four people lounging in the upper pools). I enjoyed the visitor center with helpful rangers, maps, a brief film about the area, and exhibits including the feel-it pelt wall with pelts of several animals you are welcome to touch. There are also picnic facilities. We happened to arrive just in time for one of the half-hour ranger guided tours of the falls and found it entertaining and informative (plus he stuck around to take pictures of the whole family). I have been to many waterfalls and found both of these falls beautiful and tall (but it had just rained for two days). Personally I liked the smaller Silver Thread Falls due to the interesting rock formations. Oh by the way, it is also set up so you can take a wheelchair. ENJOY!!!

“nice easy walk, 2 falls to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Be sure to check out the visitor center and then make the short boardwalk stroll to the 2 falls. You can walk up the 221 steps to the top of Dingman's Falls for a nice view.
