When my dad and I went to Baker's this week for lunch, I am so glad our friendly and professional waitress mentioned that the special was spinach pie. I had already ordered calamari, but I added the spinach pie to my order. I am seldom really pleased by restaurant food, but I thoroughly enjoyed it ALL. The squid was cooked just right, not tough. The generous-sized spinach pie came with an ample Greek salad with fresh veggies and a stuffed grape leaf with a delicate taste. I somehow found room for the tapioca pudding that my dad couldn't eat. It did not taste like the usual from a can. Most often restaurant food leaves me very thirsty all afternoon because of the excessive sodium content, but this was not the case after eating at Baker's.
The restaurant is bright and clean with photos of the olden days in this region, which I always find interesting. The only minor negative is that the music selections sometimes included people wailing into a microphone, which is not my idea of dining music, preferring instrumentals while eating.
Baker's is a 24-hour restaurant.
