Chiangmai has a great lunch special. $9 gets you a soup, appetizer, and entree from a fixed menu. Other Thai restaurants in the area do the same lunch special but rotate the dishes on the special. Chianmai's menu hasn't changed in the last year. I usually order the Chicken Massaman Curry. The flavor is very good but the spice level varies greatly. On a spice level of 1-5, I usually ask for a 3. Some days a 3 has very little kick while other days it's incredibly spicy. I've had the same experiencing when ordering at a spice level of 5. I enjoy very spicy food so it doesn't bother me but someone who is being adventurous might wind up with a dish that is inedible.
Avoid going at noon because it gets very crowded. The restaurant is on the small side so you will hear what neighboring tables are discussing.
