My fiance and I met another couple for Sunday lunch at the Stone Rose. It's a charming, romantic little place with excellent food. We started with the Short Rib Mac & Cheese, it was great except for the mac drowning in the meat juices. The table's consensus was that the homemede soups were very good. I had a burger-tall, well cooked and nice toppings. The rest of the table had a nice sweet potato gnocchi with a sagey white sauce that was pronounced wonderful, an adult grilled cheese and soup platter that was also quite nice, and a big grilled chicken that couldn't be finished. The sandwiches came with fresh-cut fries, and were also perfect. Don't miss the bread pudding for dessert. This is a nice, small little gem that if you have a few extra bucks and want to go a bit more upscale than the Boathouse, seek this place out.
