“Spotless themed rooms, friendly staff and great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

Awesome value, love the themed and breakfast was a feast . Just wish breakfast was from 7 to 9:30 instead of 6 to 8:30. I am on vacation and not going to work. I like to sleep a little later.
Will definitely stay here again next year.

Rooms were nicely restored and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was tasty, especially the muesli and the oatmeal. But the price was a bit high for rural PA. Hosts were cordial, though not extraordinarily so

Do not judge this B&B from the town, street or exterior. This was a fantastic place to stay. I have never stayed in a cleaner hotel or B&B, ever. The hosts make you feel very welcome and comfortable. I cannot possibly do the breakfast justice. Excellent homemade granola, yogurt, banana french toast, fruit and eggs! Lucy was a pleasure to talk with and learn from. She is a gem herself. The room was unique, a history lesson and just beautiful. The whole house is air conditioned which was quite refreshing after being in very warm temperatures on the trail throughout the day. I slept like a baby.

Located just two blocks from the GAP trail, this B&B caters to the cycling crowd, as well as to Fallingwater visitors, When we arrived in the evening, Lucy was serving locally-made ice cream to the other guests, so we had dessert before we even checked in! The bed in the Irish room is a king that can be split into twins, but with the king-sized memory foam mattress pad, you didn't get that 'gap in the middle' effect. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - enough to get you going for a full day of cycling, or just an 10-mile jaunt down the trail and back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are quieter.

A wonderful stop after biking, rafting and touring Fallingwater. Property feels new. It is clean and bright, beds are extremely comfortable, hosts (who live upstairs) are helpful, breakfast is plentiful and delicious. There is secure storage for bikes and coin laundry near the rooms. The only "5" I can't give is for location: Other than its convenience to the GAP trail there isn't anything notable (restaurants or attractions) nearby. Still, I would highly recommend Connellsville B&B to Laurel Highlands visitors.

My husband & I stayed here on two different nights when riding the GAP -our first night & then again on our return trip to our starting point. The B&B was clean, cool, & comfortable & close to the bike trail. We were able to lock our bikes in the garage. Our room was spotless, nicely furnished, & the bed was extremely comfortable. There was traffic noise from the road outside but this did not interfere with our stay. On both days, our breakfasts were fabulous! Fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, crepes, eggs, etc. This is a wonderful place to stay if riding the GAP, visiting Fallingwater or other area sites.

Recently biked from Pittsburgh to Washington DC on the GAP and C&O Trails. First stop was a bit more than 50 miles down at Connellsville. The town itself has seen better days but the Connellsville B&B was perfect for the stop. The place is near the railway - most towns on the GAP are - and my room (the French Room) fronted on Rt 711. Might have been a bit noisy but the window was covered by a nice thick curtain and I was too tired to be bothered. The room was clean and cool, the breakfast outstanding. John and Lucy were great hosts. John showed me where to wash and store my bike. Lucy and I chatted while she was ironing in the TV room.

Room Tip: Maybe pay a bit more for one of the other rooms?
