“A reasonably priced "old school" Motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

It an Old School style roadside motel.
The place was clean and tidy. it is quite old but the price was definitely right. I stayed two nights waiting out some bad weather on a recent bike trip and was happy to have a warm room, comfortable bed and hot shower instead of being in my tent in the 40 degree rain and wind!
They advertise Free WiFi but it is only in the lobby! Not sure but you might be in range in one of the rooms on either side of the lobby tho so ask, if it is important to you.

We stay here every year to visit relatives. It really is straight put of the 1960s which is when they last remodeled. The owners are friendly, our room was clean, and our beds comfy. This stay our bathroom appliances were yellow, last time brown, and the time before that pink. Taking a bath in a pink tub is fine with me as long as it is clean. The rooms are walled with old paneling. A Saturday nights stay cost us $58 plus tax. There is a great little diner located on the property which serves great food from early morning until 2:45 pm. I read the reviews that said the Polish owners are rude but they have always been very nice to us and very accommodating. There are no coffee pots or microwaves in the room, but a super Walmart is located across the highway with a Subway inside.

Well its clean, and its dated, right from the 1960's. New carpet, old style TV but it worked. The mattress was rather hard. To get there from the bike trail you have to go up a horrible hill with tons of 4 lane traffic, not good at all. But with the small number of bed and breakfasts being full on the weekends, you can get a room here. Wish the towels were larger and some shampoo not just soap in the bathroom.
The place is clean so you dont have to worry about anything gross.

this was a 1960's type motel that has NOT been recently renovated. Sits right on a heavily travelled road. Noisy beds, small baths, old tv's. Couldn"t get on wifi located at office but did get ice there.
If you are biking the Great Allegheny Passage, this place is about a mile outside of town and up a fairly long steep hill. You have to stay on sidewalk. No close place for dinner.

No WiFi or even ice machine, but staff solved our maintenance problem immediately. Nothing fancy but clean & decent and inexpensive. Super Walmart across highway.

You'll find the Melody Motor Lodge to be exceptionally clean and a great value for the money. The owners take great pride in providing a clean environment for travelers. The facility is straight out of the 1950s. The bed was small, the walls were paneling, and the bath towels were some of the smallest I've ever seen. There was quite a bit of highway noise. Ed's diner behind the Lodge had great food and service. Would we stay there again? Probably.

Room Tip: Not fancy...AT ALL but a good value.

Simply a nice place on out edge of town. Run by owners who take pride in their place. The motel was affordable and clean.
