“Better than average bar food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011 via mobile

We were on our way to The Turkey Hill Experience (which I do NOT recommend) and saw this review. The place is a clean and friendly bar. The waitservice was friendly and attentive. The kitchen, however, was really slow. Took about 30 min to get out our 6 meals. And we were the only ones in the place. But once we got our food it was pretty good. Above average bar food. Our girls devoured their fish & chips and tbe grilled cheese. Burgers were good, too. Also recommend the Seasonal Salad (or at least the one we had this season).

“Incredible inn... a hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2011

This is no ordinary inn. I recently stayed at Bully's Inn with a colleague for a business trip to Columbia, PA. I have platinum status on Starwood and can confidently say that Bully's rivals most Westin and Sheraton hotels in terms of cleanliness, but also includes a friendly atmosphere that is hard to find at the large hotel chains. The rooms are extremely clean, include new flat screen TVs, alarm clocks, free wifi, and comfortable beds. In addition, we were given complimentary coffee, tea, and breakfast muffins from the bakery next door. For business travelers, I cannot imagine staying at a nicer place in the area. At nights we were able to use the common room to watch TV and also discuss work before the next day. The hotel owner was very gracious and did everything he could to make our visit comfortable. It is VERY rare to find hotel service like this in a major city, let alone in a small town like Columbia, PA. This is the type of place you want to see do well, especially because you realize that the owner has gone to such great lengths to make you feel cared for. Highly recommended. Great deal.

“Bully's- A Great Little Surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2011

What an incredible time! This is not just a restaurant and pub, Bully's also offers an eleven room Inn. We took a chance on Bully's having never stayed at an Inn before, always hotels, and the decision was one of the best travel options we've ever made. The Inn is brand new with beautiful rooms and spacious baths. The architecture is fantastic. There is a common area kitchen with tables, living room with a 55" wide screen flat panel for nights in, and private entrance into the restaurant and pub. Each room is nicely furnished with some having exposed brick walls (awesome touch), flat panel TV's, cool little fireplaces, and a large bathroom. When waking up from your nights stay, you can go across the street to The Flour Child Pastry and Bake Shop for a continental breakfast........delicious baked goods. The restaurant and pub is UNBELIEVABLE!!! The food is incredible an absolute must eat there. We ate supper here the entire time we stayed. The chefs out-do themselves with the menu offerings. Approx. 155 different beers in the pub, not your average "beer drinking buddy's" beer either. These are what one would say are real beers. Hands down some of THE best beer we have ever consumed. There is a beer bible on hand to educate the layman and I have to say you will need to read it, even if you are a beer connoisseur you must read this, we found it extremely interesting. I for one am not a beer drinker, until now thanks to Bully's. The owner and the staff make you feel right at home. We felt as if we had been going there for years. If we lived in Columbia, PA or had Bully's here at home we would be there frequently. If you are visiting Columbia for the National Association Of Watch and Clock Collectors Mueum, antiquing, or maybe just passing through you must stop, eat and stay at Bully's.

Bangers and Mash. I cleaned up every bit of that plate. I head out there when I have the craving. Great beer selection as well.

“Wish it were closer to home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2011

I would be a regular at Bully's if it were not more than two hours away from home. I definitely enjoyed its wide selection of beers and other beverages. We got an amazing beer sampler -- four exotic and tasty glasses for something like $14. And the food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the tasty and well-presented Hawaiian butterfish and curried cauliflower, and I couldn't resist the creme brulee. Fantastic!
