“brews and bites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The Appalachian Brewing Company in Collegeville, PA offers a number of microbrew specialties in addition to their standard collection. New beers are added continuously. Patrons are encouraged to taste before they buy and small samplers will be delivered upon request.
The menu consists of standard pub fare. Portions are generous and service is good. The chicken nacho appetizer provides enough for 4 people and the burgers are half pounders done to perfection. There is ample parking and most major credit cards accepted. I would return again to sample additional brews and try some of their other appetizers and entres. It's a fun, reasonable get away for that Friday or Saturday when you'd like to try something different.

Consistent great service and quality. Loved the pumpkin soup, potato pancakes, and crabcakes. We will be back again.

Service is excellent. Beers are wonderful with special beers added constantly. Good bar food. This has become a regular staple for my husband and I.

“Great food, if you know what to order!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

ABC has some real gems on their menu, if you know what to order: they do a great seared tuna, the poutine is excellent, and the meatloaf is some of the best you'll ever have. Burgers are OK. Most of the sandwiches aren't worth your time. Stick to the seafood, pizza, and appetizers and you'll be VERY happy!

The beer is great as well - have to love a place that brews on-premises.

“Good beer and decent food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

After a couple visits here I can say that I would go for the beer first and eat the food because I'm there. I love the local breweries and I really enjoy tasting new and interesting beers. I think the food here is good, but perhaps trying to be a bit more than is needed at a brewpub. I think they're trying to compete with Iron Hill and I'm not sure if they're quite there yet. But I did enjoy everything that I've had. The location is a bit tough, as there have been a few other establishments in this same space that have not lasted very long. I went to meet a friend to watch some football for a night game and right before kickoff there were only a couple tables occupied and plenty of seats at the bar. But it may also take a while to catch on. Overall, it's worth a try.
