“Nice lodge...........if you don't mind the leaks!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We just got back from a 3 day stay here. The rooms where nice, ours had a strange odor that might be a result of an old water leak, other then that the rooms are decent for the hotel end of things. The food choices on that resort are good and the food was decent. The one place we ate at was awesome it was called Helen's and the food is great it is pricey but well worth it. The only major issue that we saw and noticed was the leaking roof EVERYWHERE!! I have no idea how this place would be to stay in the winter with a snow pack on the roof melting and running off but it is a major issue. It seemed like when it rained outside the buckets came out and you had to watch where you sat or stood at the coffee shop especially. I think if they would invest in some major maintenance upgrades and issues this place would get 4-5 star reviews all the time!! All in all a decent place to stay with good food and the staff was for the most part kind and pleasant but there where a few bad apples!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the 4th floor are on the same level as all the main food areas so you don't have to tak...

Went here with the IBO (International Bowhunters Organization) for the World Archery Tournament. It was the second year the tournament was held at Seven Springs but our first year staying at Seven Springs. Previously we stayed at a campground down the road, Pioneer Park Campground (see my review on Trip Advisor!) after that horrible experience we were so grateful to be at the resort! It rained (poured) but we were very comfortable and had plenty of things to do to keep our 5 families busy and happy. The indoor and outdoor pool were awesome! They had plenty of lifeguards on duty, a tiki bar, live bands. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter had a haircut which was only $15! Some of the ladies went to the spa and had Mani pedis. The activity bracelet is worth purchasing so you can do many of the activities which would be very expensive if purchased separately. It includes paddleboats, hydro bikes, summer tubing, riding all the chair lifts, alpine slide, tower climb, mini gold, bowling, swimming. We thought we were going to be staying in a condo/chalet called West Moreland but when we got there we had been switched to the recently remodeled Field Stone. We were pleasantly surprised because it was way better than the one we had looked at when we made our reservations year prior. The arcade is AWESOME! We played mini golf too, it is located inside as well as a bowling alley. The bakery was very yummy too! I highly recommend Seven Springs for a family getaway! I would love to go there in the winter for the skiing!

The toilets are small, very small, same size as my kids in Kindergarten. WiFi in the room is not strong, almost have to stand in the hall. Prices are way overpriced for PA...20oz soda is $3.00 out of a machine. No A/C in the halls of the hotel, so they are HOT. For the amount of money for a room I expect more.

Dear guest,

I'm very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our amenities at Seven Springs. This is the first I am hearing of any issues with our toilets, so I've checked with our Maintenance department and they are of a standard size. At times our complimentary wi-fi can be highly used, causing the bandwith availability to slightly decline. Should you wish to try our facilities, maybe in another season, please feel free to contact me directly.

Warmest regards,
Karen

We were camping nearby so have no feed back on the hotel itself, except that the slope side BBQ and indoor pizzeria were great. The roll on the toasted hoagies were great. We came to Seven Springs for the downhill mountain bike experience, but it was great that the other family members could get the all day activity pass and then meet up throughout the day for meals. It is pricey for the all day pass, but if you partake of all of the activities, it is worth it. Let's face it , it is probably expensive to have and maintain these various types of equipment. Just FYI, the summer tubing runs are a bit slower when the day gets really hot and you don't go as far, so try it in the morning. Find out what time each activity closes for the day, so that you can make the most of your pass; we didn't realize there where some things open later than others.

Spent the 3rd & 4th of July in Seven Springs. We had a marvelous time. Helen's Restaurant on the property is amazing. It is a Swiss Chalet with exquisite food and service. Hand crafted salads at your table and delicious seafood. We enjoyed scallops and salmon. The service was amazing, my husband is still talking about how the waitress poured the coffee with such artistry. We relaxed at the Trillium Spa and had amazing messages. We highly recommend the Trillium Signature Messages. You are treated like royalty. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, and have balconies. We were on the 9th and on July 3rd enjoyed fireworks over the mountain viewed from our balcony. All this at a reasonable rate. Although we did not bring children along, there was plenty for them to do. We will be returning for another visit soon.

Room Tip: Hotel is great couples, the lodge for families. Watch the 4th floor it is a passage way to the resta...

We booked "sugar camp" which is one of the cabins (I will post pictures later) near the stream, about a mile from the main hotel.
no a/c cabin is more like 100 a night, the bunk beds are cramped. only a few of the windows open so it is like an oven in here. The beds are very old, this place is so tired, there is "peel down" wood flooring, a shower that a large adult could not fit in, mouse poison and bug traps. The dishwasher does work well...I guess that's the only plus. When I checked out, I told the desk clerk that they should be ashamed to charge that per night. She didn't disagree and looked very sheepish. The resort in itself is SO SO tired and rundown. The cabins where horrible. They were far from the main hotel so it was like being in the woods but really, a tent would have been better.
STAY AWAY. we wondered around the hotel too the rooms looked dingy and old. The entire resort probably hasn't been made over for 30 years (it looks the same as it did when I stayed there in 1970)
The few rides are kind of interesting but I question the value of the "day pass" and the per ride rate was very very high.
See review on the awful slopeside restaurant posted under places to eat. PS as I was leaving, there was a spider in the toilet paper roll, which fell out as I was using the tp.

Dear guest,

I truly apologize for your dissatisfaction with your accommodations at Seven Springs. While Sugar Camp is a rustic cabin, it is a truly beautiful cabin, where we even host weddings on those ground. Air conditioning is not common for any of our cabins, as we portray a true cabin feel.
I would suggest staying in one of our condominiums next time, so that you can enjoy more upgraded amenities that are not near our wooded landscapes.

Very sincerely,
Karen

Had a great time with our biker friends at this resort on the zip line. 10 lines and some veryyyyyyyyyyyy long (1500 ft) lines....what beautiful views from the platforms. Our guides Mitch and Alena were wonderful and very supportive, not to mention their crazy sense of humor. They fit in with our group so well. $95 per person but since we had a group of 6 it was $85 per person...well worth every penny. Something you should put on your bucket list right away.

Green Features: It was good to see how they take care of the trees and how the platforms were built around them. There was information on each tree to identify them and they also had padding on the side you land on.
