the atmosphere is very nice and clean. The food is good, the staff nice.A bit on the pricey side but for a special dress up date this is the place, especially in the evening.

or maybe my friend just got a bad one - but I was treating friends to dinner. All was excellent except the filet - small - it didn't even look like a filet - and we should have sent it back then and there. Definitely not worth a filet price. My friend tasted her husband's flat iron steak, which was much larger, thicker and tastier and when she mentioned afterward that the filet was not as good as the flat iron was better, the waitress just commented "oh, you prefer flat iron over filet". NO! Just that the filet was sub par. No apology or free dessert offered. Oh well.

We are new to the Chambersburg area and drove past the Copper Kettle on our way home from another restaurant in the area. We love the fact that this isn't a "Chain" restaurant. Every once in a while, it is good to try a place where you don't know what to expect. We loved the feel of dining in a historic home. The food (my husband and I both had the Prime Rib) was delicious. We also had the roumaki appetizer and the scallops were plump, delicious, and perfectly cooked. And for dessert? A Lemon/Walnut torte! We were only slightly disappointed that the baking wasn't done on the premisis... then I could have gotten a recipie! Though I was a little worried because the Dessert Tray thing can seem dated, the selection we chose was so amazing and we may not have tried it if we didn't see it first. We will be back!

Ate at a booth in the bar area and service and food were great, as usual. But as time went on, the customers got louder and louder. That's what happens at a bar. It was not objectionable. Prices were not cheap, but not out of line. Their turtle soup is excellent.
