Brother's Pizza in Chambersburg, PA is located just off of Interstate 81, Exit 16. It can be a bit of an annoyance to get in and out of it with the divided highway in front of the restaurant, but it's worth it.
The restaurant is owned by a family, and nearly any time you visit, at least one of them will be there. It's good to see a family working together (even on Sundays) to provide top quality food.
Brother's Pizza Chambersburg is a small place, but spacious enough for multiple meal-goers to sit inside and dine. The atmosphere inside is very modern, warm, inviting, and pleasant to be in. Not only does it smell wonderful, but the decor is unique and fun. Dark blues accent most of the inside, and the lighting is different than most establishments of the same caliber. It's defiantly a nice place to sit and eat.
There are a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant if you desire to be outside. The view isn't the greatest, but if you like watching traffic you'll be happy!
If you choose carry-out and decide not to call ahead, you can sit near the registers and peer into the kitchen and watch food being made. This location does not yet have internet ordering, but that is likely to change.
We go to Brother's Pizza strictly for the White Veggie Pizza. It never disappoints. Covered with chopped spinach, diced tomatoes, and broccoli, it has the most wonderful full flavor you could want. If you love garlic, you'll love this pie because they put on a generous amount of minced garlic.
The employees I've interacted with thus far have all been part of the family. Occasionally their teenage daughter will work the phones and registers. While she's not the friendliest person, she does get your order down fast and correctly. You are acknowledged immediately when you walk through the door.
Don't expect conversation with the employees, however. They seem to want to keep to themselves and do their work. If you come in during a slow time, you may see them sitting at the table closest to the registers having a meal together. But that doesn't stop them from giving you full service and great food.
The restaurant always appears to be clean. The kitchen area is free from debris and apparent mess. I do notice though, that they do not wear gloves while preparing food, including foods like salads and toppings on sandwiches (like lettuce) which are placed on just prior to serving.
The menu selection features not only pizzas, but sandwiches, wings, and a few Tex-Mex style items as well. Daily lunch specials are available during lunch hours, and look like a good deal. Prices are reasonable. Beverages from the fountain feature Pepsi products, and two liters are available for delivery or take-out only.
We're never disappointed with a White Veggie Pizza from Brother's. While waiting for my pizza, I've seen a few other food items from diners eating in, and they all look and smell very good. People seem to be quite satisfied as they chow down.
I highly recommend trying some Brother's Pizza in Chambersburg some time. Good quality food that tastes fresh and delicious!
