Re-opened a year ago under new management, the Carriage House tavern is an upscale version of the previous roadhouse...with better food and a more mature crowd. The owner John has a long history in the restaurant business - a typical Central PA Greek restauranteur who cares about quality of the food and how people perceive his business, he actually spends time with customers, asking about the food and service. . Bartenders Jolly and Tyson are not only attentive, but make everybody feel welcome. Like Cheers, 'everybody seems to know your name' after your first visit. Friendly crowds come in for Fri night kereooke. As to the food, try the crab filled portabella mushrooms! or fried haddock (big as your head). Their wings are great, also, if you're looking for just a bar snack.
