“A wonderful place to stay, and wonderful hosts.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Located down a country lane, but near to Carlisle and Boiling Springs (which are both well worth a visit) this is an exceptional B & B.
The accommodation is well-planned, spotlessly clean and a pleasure to be in. The breakfasts are so good with Joanne using produce from the garden and the local markets and it was such a pleasure to sit outside savouring the food, the view and the garden visitors. We stayed 6 nights and Joanne made different breakfasts each day - and they were all yummy!
Joanne and Bill go out of their way to make sure everything is just right for you. Their local knowledge is extensive and tips on where to eat, where to park and the easiest route to Gettysburg assisted us enormously.
If we ever get the chance to re-visit the area, this is the place we would definitely stay.

Bill and Joanne are such great hosts, from the warm welcome when we arrived to the wonderful breakfast and casual conversation about area attractions. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Looking forward to another chance to visit and hope to be able to stay longer.

Joanne and Bill are great hosts and made us feel very welcome.
The place itself is set in a wonderful location on a country road just a few minutes outside Carlisle. You'll see the red cardinal and hummingbird during breakfast in the backyard if you're lucky...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joanne and Bill are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast was terrific. And the B&B is very convenient to Carlisle and Dickinson College,

Room Tip: There are only two rooms, but both are quite nice.

We had a great stay here. We were very busy with family events so didn't get to spend a lot of time relaxing at the B&B but what we did was wonderful. The location is country but close to Camp Hill and Harrisburg which was perfect for us! The breakfasts were delicious and very filling! Joanne uses as much from her garden as she can when preparing them. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in the Cardinal Room and it was large and comfortable including a seperate room with a desk...

First time in a B&B, first time in PA. We didn't really know what we needed to look for, but something guided us to the right place. It was "Incredible!" Bill was out on his motorcycle when we arrived, so Molly (Border Collie) greeted us warmly. Joanne and Bill have wonderful gift, just for the taking. As we sat on the patio, looking out over the beautiful farm next door, listening to nature, you could feel the weight of the world drop off your shoulders.

We knew we were hooked when we sat for a 2 hour breakfast and still didn't really want to get moving. Bob said it was worth the 600 mile trip, and we even considered cancelling the NJ reservation. This is being put in as an annual trip.

What a lovely place this is. Clean, quiet and a great breakfast each morning. The owners are friendly and very accomodating. They are knowlegable about the area and go out of their way to make sure that you enjoy your stay. We stayed in the Bluebird room which was upstairs. The view was nice, the bed was very confortable and the bathroom was much like mine at home. Joanne and Bill are great company if you wish to visit but respect your privacy if that's what you want. We will be back.
