I chose the Fairfield as I knew this was one of the newer hotels in the area, so I expected it to be ‘fresh & new’ – I was not disappointed. I checked in rather late & was greeted by a very friendly and accommodating person at the front desk. The lobby area, although not huge, was very nicely laid out and also featured a small area to purchase snacks & drinks.
The room (king) was very clean, the bed had plenty of nice pillows, the TV was big and in working order, and the small desk featured an Ethernet jack, although I had no trouble accessing the wireless Internet connection. The bathroom was clean & adequately lit, and there were plenty of towels
Although I did not have time to make use of it, the pool area & hot tub looked very nice & was open until 11pm. There was also an area in the hallway nearby which was stocked with a number of brochures featuring local attractions for anyone interested in exploring the area.
The free breakfast was nice & featured fruit, pastries, cereals, and beverages. There was a TV and plenty of seating.
All in all, I found the hotel’s ‘environment’ to be quiet & relaxing – I did not hear any noise from nearby rooms or from the highway (I was on the side opposite from the interstate, but did not hear a lot of highway noise even while outside the building). I would have no hesitation about returning to this place or in recommending it to others.
