“So disappointing!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Not only did the hostess have no record of our reservations which had been confirmed with a phone call from the restaurant, the noise volume was unbearable - I actually left with a raspy, sore throat from trying to communicate with my guests across the table. (Even the waitress asked us to repeat our orders saying that she was unable to hear them.)
The waitress opened our wine bottle and placed the bottle on the table making no effort to fill our glasses - nor did she offer to fill our water glasses. Our food was mediocre to say the least. We did not stay for dessert given the noise level. It was an unpleasant experience and each of us agreed that we would not be returning.

“City style & flavor in the burbs ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Just by chance we were lucky to score a last-minute reservation for 2 for the opening night of Fraschetta ... they were busy and we were not disappointed. The decor is rustic and comfortable. More importantly, the menu, food, and service has the sophisticated edge that you find in the city, and are not likely to find consistently in the burbs. We have eaten many times at the proprietors' restaurant in Philly, Melegrano, and they've now exported their talent to the Main Line, luckily for us. I think they've found a completely untapped market - reasonably priced fabulous fare and great service in a casual, comfortable setting - and they definitely are clearly 'in the rotation' of places we visit on a regular basis.
