There are good and bad things in this small town... There are some very nice restaurants that offer affordably good food. (Gold Eagle, The Meeting Place, Plylers Family Restaurant) I don't know much about the hotels but if it were me I would probably stay at the Gold Eagle hotel, or the Super 8. I don't believe that there are much amenities in any of the hotels here. There are quite a few bars if you care to have a drink,( The Hour Glass, The Ice House- located underneath the Meeting Place, Tony's lil Roma) But be careful because if you are seen driving after dark the cops automatically think that you are doing something wrong, Though there is little to no crime here. The people here are very friendly, very down to earth small town stereo- typical. In the on seasons you can go to flea markets and what not in the surrounding areas. Where as most of this stuff can be fun, it will get old after only a few times. And that is my opinion of this little town.
