“My Server Michele AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

I stopped in for a late bite to eat, was approached by my server Michele. Went over the soups and special of the day. I choose "French Dip" Sandwich. The sandwich was fresh prime rib beef, fries golden, ambiance was great. But to top it off, the service by Michele, was AMAZING. Even though the patio had a nice crowd, she gave each table their attention, and prompt service. Point here is, not only is the food good, but the service is AMAZING. Thank You.

“Loved this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

What a quaint and charming dinner experience with beautiful views! We went on a Friday night and were greeted by a friendly hostess. We had hoped for an outdoor, river view table but the rainy weather didn't cooperate. We planned on a drink at the bar but found it pretty full, so we headed to our table for our first round of drinks. We were a party of 4 and were seated at a table for at least 6 in the corner with a wonderful window view. Quickly after we were seated, we were told there was a mistake and this table was reserved for a larger party. We were kindly moved to table for 4, also by the window, and were offered complimentary appetizers for the minor inconvenience. We probably would not have ordered appetizers and I'm glad we did - the crab did was spectacular! Great blend of creamy crab, dill and other flavors served with fresh, warm pretzel rolls. Delicious! Suggestion: ask for more pretzel rolls; the serving size of the dip is so generous, you'll need more than 2!
Dirty martini was delicious, as was our wine selections, served promptly.
Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Our server was very conscientious and provided helpful recommendations, like salad dressing, wine choices and entrée size.
The complimentary valet was also a nice touch, and I've never seen a valet run more than at this place. While briefly waiting for our car, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his beautiful boxer, Jake - a perfect end to a perfect meal.
This was a thank you dinner for a family vacation and my husband's parents could not have been happier with this choice.

“Great History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

Along with the history the food and service are wonderful!! We have been going to the Inn for many years. Yes there have been better times than others but most of the time the experience is very good. We were just there for our anniversary last night and the entire evening was great. Our food was very good and the best service! I hope The King George Inn is around for another 300 years!!

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

I'm not sure why this place received all the great reviews. The food was acceptable but just average. The service was okay, but again just average. Our server wore a shirt with stains on the front which I would not expect for a place that bills itself as a higher end establishment. Our lobster wrapped in bacon appetizer was tasty but very small consisting of three bites. Maybe my wife and I are food snobs, but we were just not that impressed. The view was nice.

“Excellent in Beautiful Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

10 of us had lunch today. Seated upstairs with a spectacular view of the Delaware River. Service was excellent and the food, ranging from sandwiches to salads were all very, very good. If you are in the area I would recommend this restaurant highly.
