Staying at this charming Victorian home was like taking a step back in time. From enjoying a complimentary glass of wine on the beautiful gingerbread-trimmed veranda to a sumptuous cooked-to-order breakfast in the beautful dining room, ours was a stay to remember. Located in a Victorian village off the beaten path, but within minutes of the Penn State campus, this lovely, completely restored home has all of the charm of old, but all of the comforts of today. Our hosts were warm, friendly, and couldn't have been more accommodating. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and had lots of little "extras", which were unexpected and delightful. My only hope is that I have an opportunity to visit again soon.

My wife an I had a marvelous weekend in State College - visiting our daughter - made all the more enjoyable by our stay at the Springfield House. Everything about this B&B surpassed our expectations, from the warm greeting and friendly breakfasts to the beautiful room and well-appointed bath.
We are already planning return visits for graduations, football games and other family visits.
Just a short drive from State College, you could not find a nicer place to stay in Happy Valley!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this lovely B&B (which I found thanks to TripAdvisor). Cheryl and Bill were wonderful hosts, sincerely interested in making us as welcome and comfortable as possible. The accommodations were very nice - clean, upscale, plush, comfortable and quiet. They really pay attention to the details.

Our schedule did not permit time for breakfast; Bill seemed disappointed and I've no doubt we would have enjoyed it. Also, the town of Boalsburg is beautiful, and PSU / State College is only 5 minutes up the road.

We are already planning our next visit to Springfield House and highly recommend it.

Grooms family who booked all 6 rooms at this lovely Inn. Ideal location for our guests at the State College, PA wedding. Innkeepers were fantastic and catered to our every need. The Inn itself was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and located in a quiet village with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance to fill the time between rehearsals, wedding and family visits. The best part was the breakfast...great food and plenty of it. No asparagus and brie Quiche here, plenty of home baked goodies, huge omelets, country bacon and hearty Pennsylvania Dutch specialties. Thanks to the Springfield House for making our special weekend more than special.
