“Not Enough for the Money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Our party of four visits this area of PA frequently. We finally had an opportunity to spend two days at this B&B - it was our first and last visit. Room #4 could certainly use some counter space in the bathroom, along with a new mattress. Since the room faced Old Philly Pike, it was not in our best interests to open a window to allow airflow (along with street noise). AC was on in the building and is controlled by management. Room was made up haphazardly between days and could have used a bit more attention. Breakfast on Day 1 was taken in the main room, and it was difficult to maneuver around the maze of tables to get to the buffet. Weak coffee. Our party opted out for the patio on Day 2 and was much more enjoyable. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. We thank the proprietors and wish them well.

We stayed in my for a couple of nights and got one of their packages. I have to say that the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing and plentiful! We stayed in the main house and were not disappointed. The grounds are beautifully appointed and it was definitely a relaxing retreat. The proprietors were helpful and friendly. All in all I would say this was the perfect getaway!

Spent 7 nitghts at this B&B in the family suite with Cocoa. The pet room is in the carrige house. Pets not allowed in the manor. The 2 bedroom suite did not have a chair to sit. Had 2 beds and a day type bed. No where to relax and eat snacks. Had only a single TV. Beds had very thin mattresses not comfortable at all. The staff were friendly as opposed to some reviews. The manor house looked very nicely kept. Would not expect to pay as much as we did for these accommodations. Also due to the heavey rains had ants in the rooms, I think. Rooms needed more attention. Found cob webs in open closet area. This is not a place to come to when trvalling with a pet.

Recently took a small group to visit the Amish country and everyone loved Greystone. Its hard to please everyone in a group but they were. Beautiful grounds, comfortable beds, great breakfast, very clean and the owners were so accomodating in helping us with things to do in the area. Everyone says to make sure that we stay here next time. We will definitly be back.

Room Tip: Remember this is a bed and breakfast not a hotel with a lot of amenities.

We booked a room at Greystone for two nights. We were put in a converted out building and our room was disappointing. Small room with one chair (which sagged nearly to the floor). To sit down, one person had to sit on the bed or on the toilet seat. No internet in this building. It was more like a second rate motel room. After one night, we asked for a refund for the 2nd night but that request was refused and instead received a voucher for another stay. We are still waiting for a refund. The main building may have been more of a real B&B but what we received was not.

Room Tip: Avoid the out building. Check your room carefully before paying since they will refuse to refund yo...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night about a month ago. We were in room 1 in the mansion house. It was a lovely room, good sized, nice shower & claw foot tub. I only wish that the fireplace was actually functional, and that I had known that it was room that was face the main road. Hearing the traffic was definitely a downside. The owners were friendly, the breakfast was good. For the price it was a good experience.
