“Noisy but good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Tables are crammed together and Frankie's family and "friends" provide the service in this basic, solid, traditional Italian BYOB. Far from refined, the service is Ok but we go back for our favorite dishes. The tuna with black olives is a regular special and comes with a gigantic piece of fish with yummy sauce and pasta. Several of the chicken and pasta dishes are also on our rotation. Weekends are crowded and they may give you a reservation and then make you stand bunched at the doorway for 1/2 hour or you can sit at the counter to shorten the wait, but it's a neighborhood joint not a place for fine dining. It's one of our favorites just the same.

“Great food, poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

This could be (and used to be) a nice casual place to enjoy a good meal. However, the owners tend to overbook their reservations and thus rush patrons through the meal. I don't care how good the food is, if I wanted to rush through dinner I would grab take out. Dining in at this establishment has become all but impossible. The wait staff and bus boys, with the exception of one male waiter, are rude and pushy. Even the hostess wears a look on her face as if every person who walks through the door is just another drudgery to her already hectic and annoying evening. It's really too bad. The food is really good, and the owner seems to be a nice man. The restaurant seems to have outgrown him though.... they need to slow down and remember the service part of the industry. This place has the warmth of a neighborhood pizza joint! With that said, it's definitely the quality of food that brings the folks out. However, if folks aren't happy with the service they'll go elsewhere. The food is good, but there are other Italian restaurants in the area that are just as good with a more comfortable environment and better ambiance where folks won't be rushed through their meal, and treated as if they're just taking up space for the next group to be herded in.

“Good food, but rushed and rude!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

Locals family took us to eat on Saturday night. Place is busy and tight seating and VERY loud. Food was good, pizza, salad and eggplant Parmesan. It is a BYOB. Waitress gave us specials very quickly and seemed rushed throughout our dinner. At end of our dinner, while eating the homemade cannoli, the manager moved a table right next to our table and said, "that is for a six top, but don't worry they won't be here for 20 minutes, you have time!" This was so rude and we felt rushed, it was unacceptable, regardless of how good the food is. They clearly have a good following, but that was awful. I would have said something, but didn't want to say anything in front of my local family we were visiting, as we were the guests.

“Home style Italian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We had 2 shrimp dishes with pasta and they were both excellent. We had to eat outside because we didn't want to wait an hour. It was a little steamy outside but we're from FL so it's OK, nothing we couldn't handle and actually it seemed pretty noisy inside. You can bring your own bottle. Our server was efficient and prompt, had a little NY attitude in a good way. The owner came out and offered to buy us a beer since it was so hot outside. We would definitely go again and recommend

“absolutely an awful experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

My husband and I consider ourselves foodies so when after 8 years of living on the main line and never entering Fellini's Cafe we decided to go.Being from a family who owned and operated an italian resteraunt I thought I would feel at home, WOW was I wrong! I am first generation italian who knows a good italian joint, I was embrassed for the owner who has built this family establishment through his hard work. This place is nothing like italy, italians or italian cooking. The service was poor and when we addressed it with the manager he made us feel like we were at fault. To Frankie(The owner) you will lose a customer every weekend and some day you will look in your dining room and it will be empty. Look at your staff and evaluate your servers and the way ther treat your customers. Food means nothing if it is not served with love! The best part of the evening was leaving Fellini's and going to our favorite place which will never betray agin "Alfredo's italian resteraunt" a few doors down truly for a true italian dinner!
