“Another awesome Italian cafe in Berwyn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012 via mobile

Frank is a duper owner/host. The bread is warm and awesome. The choices are great. Pasta can be replaced by veggie choices. Will go back.

“Keep coming back over and over!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

This restaurant is fantastic. Tucked into a small plaza across from the Berwyn train station, this place keeps us coming back over and over again. It's 100 ft from Alfredo, but boy, Frankie's Fellini Cafe takes the cake every time. Whenever we have out of town guests, there's no question where we are taking them - Frankie's! The food is definitely Italian for sure, hearty, succulent Italian like your grandmother would make and always a good number of fancier specials as well. The pizzas here are handmade to order right in the dining room. If you're still hungry after your meal, don't miss out on the cannoli.

“Well made Aioli is hard to find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

You would think delicious spaghetti Aioli is easy to find in any italian restaurant..but I'd dispute that opinion. Frankie's does make it deliciously though! The restaurant is small & gets very noisy when full...which I don't particularly care for. But take out is an option & that's what I usually do. The staff is a little "rough around the edges", with the noise... like I said... I prefer take out. The food is very good and a good value.

“Wonderful fresh food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

For fresh Italian comfort food, this BYOB is superb. Be forewarned that it is usually crowded and noisy but this just means that for a lot of people it is a favorite. Frankie, the owner, is always around making sure that everything is up to snuff. For dessert lovers there are delectable cannoli and always an indescribably delicious cake from Sweet Jazmin's bakery just down the street

“for the burbs not so bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

One of the better suburban BYO Italian joints around, and this place is always packed on the weekends. The pasta and sauces are all fresh and I’ve enjoyed the grilled veal chop special in the past. We always enjoy the bruschetta, it is excellent, just wish there were more of it. Went there recently with a large group and it took too long for the wine to be opened and poured but glad there is no corkage fee. The service is part of the show, a bit urban and for some probably off putting but if you roll with it all ends well. Seating can be cozy or tight depending on how you look at it, but they try to accommodate everyone with or without reservations.
