The center also has two beautiful lodges located on their property (can be viewed online) the fee is reasonable. I like to take guests so we are there by 3pm, by the time we go through the center and
go to the theater (three dollars per person enjoyed by adults and children) the elk seem to be moving. We seem to see the most towards dusk, as the weather moves to fall go earlier with the time change. The last time we saw seven along the road and other observation points close to the center. Some have seen over a hundred elk in the area. Be very careful to watch for elk crossing the road at dusk and after dark if you are there late. Others like to go early in the morning when the
elk are eating breakfast and return in the time close to dusk.
