Friends from home told us about this delightful place,
We were in Bedford for a last minute trip and called 10 days before and were able to get in. We were staying at the Chancellor House b & b and everyone else seemed to be staying at Bedford Springs. Stephano called Thurs evening with the menu so that we would know what wine we wanted to bring. We enjoyed very much the people around us. As the evening wore on, it became a little raucous but very happy! We had fresh mozzarella flown in from Naples served simply with great olive oil, lasagna as the main course, risotto with asparagus, good cheeses and a lovely dessert. My husband says he remembers Stephano saying he never has lasagna in Italy made with ricotta.
We will recommend it & probably make another trip even though it is 2 1/2 hours away.
We went back on Sun to buy gifts of really good olive oils and pastas and balsamics. It truly was a fun evening.
Oh, it was also nice when he explained the dishes and histories before serving. Thanks, Stephano!
