“Fantastic location and view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2010

My husband and I just spent my 60th Birthday on the Oregon Coast. We chose the SeaQuest Inn, because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and boy were you guys right. Fantastic location and what a great view! Nerina, the Inn keeper, could not have been any better. The breakfasts were out of of this world, she is very good at her job. Stayed in The Antigua room and really loved it. Switched to The Curacao for two nights and thought it was a little smaller and bathroom a lot smaller. So if we had it to do over would have stayed all 4 nights in the Antigua room.

We enjoyed our visit to this rustic, seaside inn. It has an unbelievable setting next to the ocean -- the waves crashing on the beach seem just yards away. The inn is charming & comfortable although perhaps in need of a few upgrades here & there. The innkeeper, Nerina, is charming and had very helpful/knowledgeable suggestions about activities, sightseeing & restaurants. The breakfasts were excellent, VERY ample and served in a large, common room with fabulous views of the ocean. It can be chilly in Yachats and the inn has lots of windbreakers and sweaters to borrow so you can walk on the beach. This is an enjoyable old style inn with a real sense of the ocean.

This inn was so Victorian, quaintly elegant, with every little attention to detail provided to us traveling types. My visit here was in the summer, so the weather was amazing. I plan to come back in the winter months as this inn has awesome ocean views and plenty to do for indoor fun. The food: money can buy this type of love! Nerina loves preparing and planning this top notch cuisine.

This was a first for staying in a B&B and it was a wonderful experience. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was an added plus. Nerina was a wonderful hostess and the breakfasts' were fantastic. Very gourmet. I would definitely come back to this wonderful place!

My wife and I just finished a 9 day trip covering much of Oregon. Our time at the SeaQuest Inn was a standout. The trip consisted of a few nights at B&B's (Portland's Whitehouse, The Parkdale Inn in Mt. Hood...which were both fantastic as well) and some evenings in the home's of old friends in Bend and Cave Junction. We decided to leave our last few nights accommodations up in the air and see what fate brought us. After spending the day driving north up the Oregon coast and being unimpressed with Gold Beach and Bandon, we crossed our fingers and hoped Yachats would bring us what we were looking for. As we rolled along Hwy 101 north of Florence, we noticed a strip of homes backing up to the beach. As we got closer we noticed that The SeaQuest Inn's sign had a "Vacancy" tag hanging below it. My wife, had read a favorable review on the Inn earlier in the day so we stopped in. We were shown a room and knew that this was what we were looking for. After a late meal in Yachats (10 minute drive away) we slept so well with the sound of the crashing waves coming through our open windows. We initially planned on just staying for a night, but when we woke up the next morning, we couldn't bare the idea of spending the day in the car and potentially finding a place that didn't measure up to The SeaQuest Inn. Nerina was a wonderful host, cooking amazing breakfasts and helping us find things to do during the day that suited our style. We did a wonderful hike just down the road near Devil's Churn. We saw Grey Whales feeding off the coast. We relaxed on the grounds and beach of the The SeaQuest, we enjoyed an afternoon nap. It was an amazing two days and we were sad to leave. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

. Situated in a very good area
. A lot of nature , hiking etc.
. The hotel is a gem, not only because of its location, but the warmth that you feel when you step in and rooms very personalized.
. The breakfast is great, especially Nerina's cakes
. It is a great place and we would stay there again whenever we are in Oregon.

We stayed three nights in June. Our room opened directly on to a lawn leading right to the sea. The great room, showcasing quirky architecture [Craftsman by way of Gaudi] was huge, overlooking the lawn and ocean, a perfect setting for the delicious breakfasts prepared by Nerina, our beautiful and very professional hostess. It didn't hurt that we had the place to ourselves! Added feature: Cape Perpetua, right up the road, a scenic gem with trails of all levels of ease or difficulty, either among tide pools or into deep forest. Evening dining necessitated a drive up to Yachats, about 10 mins, or further downcoast to Florence, which can take a half hour, possibly more if you are stuck behind a slow trailer on the winding road.
