We enjoyed breakfast at the Green Salmon, dining on homemade pastries and hot breakfast sandwiches, a latte, house coffee and a fruit smoothie. The smoothie was delicious, as were the sandwiches.

The place has a hippie kind of atmosphere, with magazines and books available to borrow, trade or buy. A not-much-enjoyed overheard diatribe about what's wrong with the current political party in power didn't add to the otherwise cozy surroundings (we got seats by the wood burning stove), but isn't that what makes America a great to live?

The Green Salmon is worth checking out while enjoying all that the Yachats area has to offer.

I not only fell in love with Yachats town and community, but what a excellent place to hang out - Green Salmon. I love what they are doing, what they stand for ... their food and their coffee was fantanstic. I look forward to seeing more coffee shops and stores in our communties across the country. Solar energy - everything organic and fair trade ---

This is a must visit place.

We are a green family --- so this place was just awesome to go to.

We loved this place for a great coffee, breakfast or lunch. It offers a great variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as interesting fruit drinks. Great pastries and artisan loaves of bread to take home, soup, stuffed loaves (like an amazing sandwich to be eaten hot or cold), breakfast sandwiches, etc.

We tried a maple croissant, mixed berry bears claw, a stuffed loaf, and for breakfast one day we had toasted french bread, spread generously with mascarpone cheese, heaped with wild blackberries, and drizzled with honey! Need I say more?!
