This is definitely not a sterile, cookie cutter motel. The Lodgette rooms have all of the charm of a an old fashioned motel. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. Even though there were people staying next to us, we never heard them. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. They lent us a corkscrew so that we could open the wine we had purchased at the local wine merchant. There are walking trails close to the room. I felt as though I was on retreat. The off season rate was a good value.

Our stay at the Shamrock was a wonderful experience. We rented a spa room and it was all we had hoped for! The staff were very helpful , friendly and accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated and featured a comfortable king size bed, DVD player,remote control fireplace,perfect jacuzzi tub and a nice little kitchen. The room was cleaner than any other place I have stayed before. My husband and I are business owners with very little time off and when we get another weekend away, we hope to spend it in the same place!!! Thank You Shamrock!!!!!

We stayed for two nights in an ocean facing room. The properties are a little dated but the fittings are reasonably well maintained. Our room was clean and warm with a woodburning stove (which we didn't use). The bed was comfy and the room was very quiet even though there were guests in the rooms either side of us.

The cabins are handily placed to walk into Yachats - and eat at the Drift Inn which is excellent.

Overall good value for money.

The Shamrock Lodgettes is one of a kind. It's the quinessential Oregon Coast experience: funky-cool, on-the-beach, unassuming, tucked away and quietly relaxing. This is our 5th visit -- in all kinds of weather (this last trip had cold temps, but nice and cozy inside). We just love this place!
