“Good Food in a hole in the wall kind of place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Tiny place, good food friendly people. The owner is a fisherman and catches some of the fish (not all of it, some is shipped in). The salmon is fresh, and locally caught. The clam chowder is excellent. Fish tacos are made with a mix of fish, and were quite tasty.

“Great Option for Yachats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

This is a tiny little place that for my money is the best eatery in Yachats. My wife had slumgullion and a 1/2 order of clam strips. The slumgullion according to my wife is the best she's ever had. The clam strips were definitely made of fresh clams and there were actually quite a few strips for a 1/2 order that cost less than $7 if memory serves. I ordered the cod and chips with a cup of chowder. The cod was beautiful and tasted fresh. The fries were hot and cooked perfectly. The chowder is definitely above average for Oregon's coast. The tarter sauce is very good.

The service staff on our visit was extraordinarily nice. We had to wait approximately 10-15 minutes as there are only 5 tables in the place. They even walked down the block a few stores down and found us when the table was ready instead of giving the table away to someone else.

Prices were a little high compared to what I'd pay inland a little bit, however we expect this at the coast and it's not like they were outlandish. However, be aware that Yachats has a city tax that they charge on prepared food that is 5% I think. I find this extremely annoying as there is not any notice anywhere that this tax exists and you only find out once you are presented with the bill. This is not

“Good food! at good prices!”

Salads were great. Service a little iffy but the menu selection was awesome. Lots of fresh fish and at good prices.

“Really good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We were really hungry by the time we found the restaurant, but were thrilled with our lunch. Had fish & chips (breading light and crisp) and fish tacos that were out of this world. If your not looking for fancy, but want good food, this is the place.
