“Great Weather Helps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

Hiked to Romona Falls - 4.2 miles one way - nice falls, the day was great - no mosquitoes, awsome view of Mt Hood about 1 mile from the parking lot - (be sure to have a NW forest pass when parking). The falls were quiet and nesteled in a grove - with the sun filtering through the evergreens - very cool.

“Climb to Fight Breast Cancer Survivor Summit: soulfull, magical, inspiring, truly once-in-a-lifetime unforgettable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

What can be more rewarding and satsifying than reaching the top of a mountain summit at sunrise? Doing it with the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer, Portland Parks and Recreation and cancer survivors! The guides with Portland Parks are truly amazing people! They are wise, compassionate, caring and fun! We stayed at Timberline Lodge the first night, then up the mountain at Silcox Hut the second. From there, our guides skillfully led us up the mountain to a beautiful sunrise summit of Mt. Hood! And we did it all with the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer, which gathers hikers from across the globe every year. These individuals choose their mountain, train and raise money for research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Can't wait to go back! We only had a short stay here. You need at least 3-4 days to see all of its beauty.
