I had breakfast at Altitudes during a recent business trip and found it to possibly be the worst service I have ever experienced. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (maybe 1/4 full). Our server took a long time to come take our order, so we ordered drinks and breakfast at the same time. The were out of most bread, we had a choice of sourdough, biscuit or english muffin. 20 or more minutes passed and I still didn't have my drink (coffee) so I had to go find someone, a busboy, to ask for some. Other patrons came, ate and left and we still did not get our breakfast. We went to find our server, she seemed panicked and said ours was coming. Around the one hour point we are considering leaving when again we ask our server about our food and she assures us it is coming next. We wait and watch her serve another table that had come after us. We watch as a big group comes in long after us, gets drinks, orders, gets food, eats and leaves all while we wait. Finally near 90 minutes later we get our food. I never get anymore coffee and at $2.50 a cup a refill would have been nice.
Here is the positive, my basil, asparagus and pine nut omelette was very good. Other than that the hashbrowns were very buttery and I'm usually a wheat bread eater.
The waitress drops off our bill with no offer to make up for the terrible service. We go to pay and the manager immediately takes the checks and tells us he is taking care of it. His offer was appreciated.
We had hoped to have dinner at Altitudes but they were closed by the time we arrived and we already had plans the second night.
