“Ordered sea scallops; received bay scallops”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

On a Sunday afternoon, Dooger's was filled with seniors who were clearly enjoying the basic American fare served here. However, I'd be wary of the seafood; although I ordered sea scallops, they were tiny. When asked if they were bay scallops, the teenage waiter said they were sea scallops. I was so hungry, I didn't protest and ate them anyway.

My husband steered clear of fish and enjoyed a plate of chicken tenders and french fries.

There's a vast menu here so there are plenty of non-fish dishes. The prices are reasonable and the service was prompt.

“They have never failed us.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

We have camped by here the past few years and have ended our trip with a meal here. It has always been good. The prices here are still a little high but better than most of the places we have eaten on the coast. We have always had great service and this time was no different. My daughter had a cut indiie her mouth from a fall. She got the speghetti but the tomato sauce was bothering her. So they brought her a Mac and Cheese at no additional charge. We will be back again if we are down this way again.

“Destination of Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We go to our Timeshare in Gleneden Beach twice a year from our home in BC and this is the destination of choice for dinner heading back to Canada.
The food is excellent and the staff is great. We often have Michelle serve us and she is delightful. Even though we come only twice a year she always remembers us. She is especially impressive when our young grandchildren are with us.
There are many great choices on the menu but the Salmon & Chips are not to be missed. Make sure you start with their clam chowder as it definitely does NOT come out of a can.

It is clean and bright and we always look forward to our meals there.

“Order the chowder, not fish n chips”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Highly recommend the chowder which is less thick than most, but delicious. But was very disappointed with the fish and chips. Would be worth it to go to Astoria a few miles down the hwy. to one of many great places for fish and chips. The Ship Inn was one and if you don't mind waiting in line the Bowpicker is the best I have ever had. (Tuna fish n' chips) It is located on the east end of town and only open certain times.

“Great Happy Hour food value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Get there before 6pm in the lounge for incredible deals on various food choices from $2.95 to $3.75, Oysters, shrimp, clam chowder, fettuccini, hamburger, fish & chips, salad, much more. Draft beer is inexpensive, though you can get non alcoholic beverages, wine or mixed drinks. Enjoyed our meals and left full. The service was good and attentive.
