We were seated in the bar and not acknowledged then for another 10 minutes. Our server was superficially friendly but in too much of a hurry to be truly pleasant.
Our chopped salads, to start, were fine - although somewhat thrown into our serving bowls with little care.
We both ordered New York Strip. My husband's steak, ordered medium with a request to finish it on the grill as suggested in the menu, was a large slab from the thinner end of the cut. It was pretty much well done throughout. When we pointed this out to our server no apology was offered, and she moved my husband's side plate toward him, suggesting he put his steak on it so she could send it back and he could 'work on his sweet potato side in the meantime'!. Are you kidding me? I requested that perhaps she could remove the entire meal and provide a fresh side along with the new steak. OK - it's a steakhouse and not a fine dining restaurant, but a $25+ main course is not cheap and this sort of service is unacceptable.
The replacement steak was good, however the poor service continued when the server wanted to remove my empty plate while my husband was still eating (funnily enough, I'd finished my meal having been served first). This is just rude (although disappointingly common).
The final straw - we had a discount coupon which had not been applied to the bill when it was delivered, and it took almost 10 minutes to get our server's attention and have her sort it out. She apologised for not having deducted the discount but not for our wait, and not again - as she should have - for the steak being incorrectly cooked.
We won't be going back.
