“Good job again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I stayed in a king jacuzzi suite on New Year's Eve on the 4th floor. Nice big room, jacuzzi tub worked fine.

Everything was good, friendly staff, decent hot breakfast. We would probably stay here again for another "night away" from the kids.

Only negative: the two TV's don't seem to be HD: or maybe it's just that the Comcast Cable package isn't the kind that includes HD channels. Ether way, it would be nice for the Grand to upgrade on that.

Stayed here one night while en route. Needed to stop at the REI store right next door, so it was very convenient. Bridgeport shopping center across the street is also great. I found the hotel to be surprisingly inexpensive for what appears to be a very upscale place. The welcome was great, the room was certainly clean and plenty large enough. The bed was very comfortable. What more can you ask of a hotel?

Our visit to The Grand was ......Grand! What a great hotel! We have stayed at the Grand in downtown Salen several times but found ourselves near Portland one weekend and decided to give The Grand at Bridgeport a try. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite. The room was HUGE! The things that I look for in a hotel are - cleanliness, quality and atmosphere ( peace and quiet). The Grand was top notch in my book. Service at the front counter, from check in to questions we had were excellent and friendly. The room was spotless clean. Super comfly and very quiet. In the morning they have a free breakfast that includes more than just a doughnut or piece of toast....a full breakfast, eggs, waffles, bacon, etc. Again, all very well prepared and presented. The hotel looks very new, the grounds are clean and safe and the lobby is beautiful and welcoming. Put all that together with great service, clean, quiet rooms for half the price of staying in downtown Portland on a weekend? You can't go wrong with this place!

Room Tip: The jacuzzi suite is slightly more, but well worth the price.

THE Most Incredible, Hospitable and Accommodating Hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at!!!
I Especially want to thank the Carlee and Joel; Carlee was absolutely phenomenal! She went OUT of her way to make sure our stay was perfect!
Joel (The General Manager) helped us out substantially as we had a time of need!
I cannot personally thank you ALL for your stagering generosity and honest to goodness caring!
I would stand by them and this hotel ten-fold!
Sincerely Yours.

Although it's nice enough and close to many great amenities, if you're going to fork out this kind of money, I suggest going to Embassy Suites at Washington Square. Definitely more bang for your buck. The rooms are mediocre at best- no real closet, no mirrors in the room (4 women getting ready in the morning requires more than a mirror in a steamy bathroom!)

Thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy our hotel more. I’d imagine that having four adults in the room you stayed in was likely a little crowded. We do have larger suites but the cost would have been higher. I’m sorry you did not have as many mirrors as you would have liked. In your case it sounds like it would have been convenient to have another mirror in addition to the bathroom mirror and the full length mirror in your bedroom area. As a result of your input I will be purchasing several vanity mirrors for the hotel available by request.

Thanks again,

Josh Sanders

I needed some last minute guest rooms for my daughter's wedding party the night before her wedding on September 8, 2012. I called and spoke with Erica Amesbury, Director of Sale at the hotel. She was very professional and accommodating. Both she and Josh Sanders, the hotel General Manager, went out of their way to assist my last minute requests. The hotel itself was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was delicious and the location across from Bridgeport Village Shopping very helpful being. I would highly recommend using this hotel again for either business or leisure.

Previously stayed at the Grand Hotel in Salem and this location totally met our high expectations. It's only three years old, and everything still seems brand new. Very clean, great service. Pool was on the small side, more recreational, but also very clean and new.
Note: it's still new enough that our latest GPS maps didn't have it. Find it by using GPS to get to Bridgeport Village shopping centre, only about a block away. The hotel is visible from the I-5.
Only about 20 mins down the I-5 from Portland, making it a great lower-priced option but with all the quality and amenities of higher class hotels downtown. And unlike *ahem* another big-name, similarly-classed hotel in Tigard, wifi is absolutely free at the Grand. A big selling point for us.
Breakfast was great: make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, salty meat product, fruit etc. Will definitely be back.
