“Up scale $$”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014 via mobile

I'd read this was a place for climbers to hangout. We took a look: we had to wait to be seated, it was air conditioned, polished and a little sterile. The waitress soon clued in we were not looking for fine dining but something more basic. Would be a great place to take the wife/ new girlfriend (not at the same time). We had a few starters that were very good. Ambiance 6/10, food 8/10, service 9/10.

“Quiet spot, wonderful food, cool history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

This is a regular stop for us locally! Great staff with excellent service, local sustainable yummy food, a willingness to make changes if needed, and awesome views all around! A stop at this re-purposed historic railway depot is wonderful anytime but the best is summer on the deck sipping a cold local brew as the sun slips down behind the Cascades. Their top sirloin is the best I've had, and the happy hour menu is tasty and affordable as well. We can mingle here with climbers and travelers as well as our neighbors who love this spot. What a unique place!!!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

Stumbled into this wonderful restaurant after hiking around Smith Rock. We were able to make the lunch menu. I highly recommend!!! Food excellent, Service excellent, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Love that the server was aware of gluten sensitivity vs gluten allergy. They were able to substitue a gluten free alternative for the bread used for the steak sandwich. My friend had the pan fried calamari and french fires along with the creamy tomato soup, She still can't stop raving about how great it all tasted. If I didn't live so far away I'd head over there now and try their dinner menu. I wish I could find something comparable in Chicago.

“renovated railway depot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

The service was great and so was the food. We were bothered by a fly but not much you can do about that. The owners have done amazing things with the railway depot that was about to fall down before they renovated it!
