This place recently re-opened with new owners who have continued booking good local music acts. The music is fabulous. The food only so-so. The bar food on the menu is the best bet, especially the bruschetta and the pizzas. The entrees are uneven, at best. I had "lightly breaded and fried rock cod." It was heavily breaded and deep fried within an inch of its life and garnished with what looked like canned onion rings--but the polenta it was on was fabulous and the lightly sauteed fresh vegetable mix on the plate was superb. I noticed that a serving of pork brisket was anything but braised but the barbecue sauce on it was tangy and good. The mashed potatoes on that plate were gluey--like they had been done in a food processor. Prices are super reasonable and the service is cheerful and attentive. Maybe food will improve??? I really hope so because the music is fabulous.
