Negatives: weird location on 14th south of Main across from canned food warehouse in strip mall. Parking lot is chuckhole city. Exterior of the building discouraging. Interior needs painting. Wall decor is mismatched, cheap, unattractive. Positives: 15 booths or tables including 1 for 8 and one for 5, booths and tables. Clean restroom and roomy. Nice waitress. Open 7am to 3pm. Generous portions, LOW PRICE. We had breakfast for 5 for $40. Eggs Benedict, the $3.99 special, bacon and eggs platter (see photos). Food was NOT greasy, toast was thick. Hash browns fluffy. No complaints on food. Clientele is mid-downtown Springfield (come as you are, dirty boots, overalls, suspenders, polyester pants). Everyone satisfied with this place. It is butt ugly and looks "closed" but its a local hangout where you can get enough to eat and still leave a tip and still have some money in your pocket. We eat out a lot and for 2 the tab is usually $40 so to have 5 eat on $40 was a very nice surprise and the food was not cheap or bad. Check it out, but don't be discouraged by the exterior or the funky interior, you don't eat the building. The View was on the TV, so no Fox News on the day we were there. Had their been, the review would drop a notch.
