A vegan's dream.. in Seaside! My father and I went to get food to take back to our hotel.

We ordered The Seaside Boat - which includes teriyaki chicken, tempura karaage, baked oysters, and 8 pc california rolls, it is served with salad, rice and miso soup. at $39.95 it is enough to feed 2-3 people the server said. I think 3 especially if they like the soup, the salad was good with a unique dressing. They oysters were great, but we thought they should be cooked longer for us to like them better, the chicken, karaage and rolls were all excellent.

We also got teriyaki chicken/tempura (lightly battered shrimp and vegetables) I loved the veggies and ate them even the next day dipped in their special sauces they provided.

Also for me I ordered off of their vegetarian menu (it is not listed on their website). I got the Gyoza (vegetarian though, they are dumplings with vegis inside), and Vegetarian rolls both were excellent. On the vegetarian menu there are a variety of rolls, salads and fried.

Finally the Albacore Roll (spicy tuna, avocado, albacore, onion and ponzu sauce on top). My husband said it was very very good.

This all fed four adults and one child, with enough left for me and my husband's lunch the next day. We went all out and it was all superb. We could have easily fed all 5 of us with the Seaside Boat and my two vegi menu selections.

The staff was very attentive and provided drinks while we waited for our order. We will be eating here again for sure.

A friend and I travel to the coast a lot, and like to try the new restaurants in town. This one however was horrible. The food overall was ok. It did take a little longer than we had hoped, but we were not in a big hurry.
The biggest problem was the server Eric. He would not leave us alone. He was constantly at the table trying to conversate with us as we were trying to eat.
Then not only that we left to go back to our hotel, and went to their lounge and their was our server, Eric, drinking and being loud and abnoxious. I am not sure why this guy is even allowed in their lounge, if it was mine I would have thrown him out.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Tora while in Seaside, this place is in the spot where Kalypso used to be. I have always loved the building here and the dining room space.

Our appetizer ws the Gyoza which is a Fried Pork Dumpling, which was very good. My entree was the Teriyaki Salmon with Tempura which was presented in a large, pretty dish and very colorful. The food was very good and the service throughout our meal was attentive and professional.

For dessert we shared the Green Tea ice cream which was good, I like a Green Tea ice cream with a bit more powerful of a flavor tha they serve here, but still good.

It's nice to have a good Japanese restaurant in this area, I hope Tora Sushi Lounge will be around for a long time!

Tora Sushi on Broadway was a delightful find for my wife and I. Service was terrific and the presentation of the food was matched by its taste. Should have a full sushi bar in place in a few weeks. Meanwhile, enjoy the sushi and sashimi at your table.
