they are over priced for the activities. for a family of 4 it costs nearly $30 to enter and the cost is not worth it.

“For Kids of All Ages (Young and Old)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village, better know as Gilbert House in Salem. Is a great place to find your childhood again! The Gilbert House used to be the National Toy Hall Fame home, until it outgrew it's home and moved back east. The character and historical value of this children's museum and play area has always been a favorite in Salem. The historical value more so is that A.C. Gilbert himself invented the Erector Toy Set in Salem. Great place to visit!!!

“Entertaining 3 year old grandson”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

What a great place to take children 3 and older. Lots of different activities for all children and a wonderful playground for swinging, sliding and such. Wouldn't recommend younger than 3 due to the activities available. Lots of hand one displays, a grocery store set up with lots of choices to show children what healthy items to purchase. Make your shadow in the Shadow Room. Great for parents and grandparents also.

The children (8&10) love the giant slides and spider web.
(We pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it outside in the play area)
The Bubble Room is a must.
The craft room is always on the list to visit.
Bring camera, walking shoes for the adults.
