Staying with Crosslands in Salem is more than I can explain, from Staff ,to rooms, cleanliness, overall atmosphere. I have been back again many times & have told my other associates & family. I will also be checking into the other hotels in the chain, Portland, Eugene, & ect. Thanks is not enough.

The room was clean. Friendly staff.
Don't expect a real kitchen - the refrigerator is not "full size" - it's one of those small beverage refrigerators.
Beds are uncomfortable/cheap and the matresses were dirty and stained.
WiFi was not working for half of our stay.
We've stayed in Salem twice since then but not at Crossland. Check out the Phoenix Inn or Holiday Inn Express - both are worth the few extra dollars.

I appreciate your constructive comments concerning the Crossland Economy Studios in Salem, Oregon. This Hotel is known for it's friendly staff and excellent housekeeping personel. Award winning, in fact. Sadly, of all the Extended Stay Brands ( Crossland, Homestead, Extended Stay America, and Extended Stay Deluxe), the Crossland Economy Studios brand is the only one that features a kitchenette instead of a full kitchen.

Your concerns of the reliability of our high-speed wireless have been noted and will be relayed to our service provider for analysis.

Bed comfort and quality are the most important features a hotel room can offer. Look for us to upgrade this amenity in the near future as we listen to valued customer responses such as yours.

Being an economy hotel, the Crossland can not compare to the hotel choices you listed above in amenities. But those hotels can not compare to our rate. With our rooms starting at $29.99 per night, we are positioned very well for the budget-conscious, and you can easily trim $60.00 off your hotel stay per night.

In this economy, we have been a welcomed surprise for many business and leisure travelers.

Again, Thank you for your great comments, constructive insights, and the time that you took to put it all together. Remember to visit us online, and our many brands, when you plan your next travel excursion.

Refused to honor price found online. Management argued with me on the phone...very rude and unprofessional...Will never stay at this hotel, due to customer service just on the phone being so poor... Even after asking for management.

I do want to apologize for any rudeness that was perceived during your phone conversation with our Guest Service Representative over the topic of on-line rates.
Actually, the on-ine rates that Crossland, as well as all of Extended Stay Hotels, are just that, internet rates. They must be booked on the actual site that you found them. The Guest Service Representative nor the Manager has the capability of honoring these rates at the hotel. They must be booked on-line.
Although the Crossland Economy Studios in Salem, Oregon is an economy rated hotel, this hotel has won many awards for both guest service and cleanliness within the hospitality industry. I do apologize that we could not honor your request on honoring rates, and I do aplologize that you feel slighted by our inability to do so through the rules of the program. Please feel free to book your next travel arrangements to Salem, Oregon through our website, where you will find our guaranteed lowest rates, information on our most recent promotions and specials. Thank you for the opportunity of clarifying the misunderstanding and I hope you will choose us again. :)

This Hotel/Motel was not impressive. We were visiting here from the East Coast to look for housing for a future move here. We expected for the price we were paying to get more. The first room we were given was not cleaned at 4 pm, then the second room we were given was small, dirty, missing paint on the front door, and was not what we paid for. The front desk clerk, Holly, was wonderful. She helped us out a lot. We asked for a better hotel and she gave us some places to go. She explained to us that Crossland suites are economy suites for people staying in the area for work, not looking for the amenities, or a nice place to stay. We have stayed at many extended stay type hotels, and it was never this bad. We were supposed to get two queen beds and kitchen, but we got two double beds- really two double beds, not queens, and a very dirty kitchen, small room and unimpressive overall suite. I was told that the Crosslands were "economy" but for the price, they were not economy at all. We went down the street to the Red Lion and paid five dollars more a night for a clean room with a true Queen Bed, and the almost same amenities. All we were missing was a stove. I would definitely not Recommend this unless you needed a place to stay for a few weeks at not a so economy price to help with meals. But overall, a no brainer. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your recent experience at Crossland Economy Studios in Salem, Oregon. Our company prides itself on excellent guest service, so I was pleased to read that our employee, Holly, was able to promptly give you the attention you deserved.
Given that we regularly receive guest compliments on our service and our accommodations, I was truly disheartened to learn that you were not satisfied with your room. Please accept my most sincere apologies. Although it is true that we offer economy studios, our mission is to provide guests staying any number of nights a clean, comfortable room at an affordable price. Please be assured that, as a part of our continued commitment to deliver a quality product, all rooms are inspected before being made available to guests. Again, I apologize that you were not completely satisfied. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact the property manager at 503-363-7557.

bring your own little luxuries, you will not be pampered here,
but it will save you money (if you appreciate that sort of thing)!
the room is compact & bed was a bit creaky, no tub & just
one bedside table, but furnishings were modern & clean ...
we stayed on the side not facing the freeway - across the street is an assisted living apartment & otherwise, vacant (but fenced
& basically clean) lots on either side ... the neighborhood is
light industrial (storage lockers, u-haul, harley davidson showroom) but only 2-3 blocks from walmart, safeway, food4less, dollar store
& a fair number of restaurants = nothing glitzy but not run-down
or 'unsavory'
i would definitely stay there again - it was not roomy, but it was
not a dump & i appreciate saving a few extra bucks

We travel about 70% of the year because we work for a major telecommunications company so we know hotels! This hotel was good for the price, clean rooms but no extras. Crossland is the cheapest of al extended stays so the rooms are very basic and bare. The beds are very small but ok when it comes to comfort. The kitchen has a small fridge. This is a nice clean room but very plain and low budget. Good for a one night stay!
