“One night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

We stayed in Windmill Inn of Roseburg on our way to Vancouver by road. It was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was good. My kids enjoyed the Sauna. Rooms were clean. Overall it was a good place. Nice restaurants and shops are nearby. If you are travelling on Highway I-5, this is a very good choice to stay the night and continue your drive next day. You will get good breakfast in the morning.

We stayed there will visiting a family member in the hospital. We had a very big room for a great price. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had and the breakfast was a decent continental fare. We will definitely stay here again when we need a place to stay in Roseburg.

We recently attended the Umpqua Valley wine barrel tour and stayed in Roseburg at the Windmill Inn. Apparently they have had a change in management, and although the Windmill has always been clean and comfortable, the new upgrades are giving it an aesthetic boost. The new patio furniture for the rooms is brightly colored and cheerful as are the new patio umbrellas. They are in the process of making improvements in the lobby, new paint in the rooms, and upgrading the bed linens.
We enjoyed the basket with wine glasses, corkscrew, and towel available to borrow from the front desk. The breakfast which was included was just right. All in all, this was a great place at an affordable price so we got to spend more money on wine to bring home. CK

Room Tip: The pool facing rooms are best.

I stayed at this property at the end of February while traveling on business, and had the most wonderful experience with the staff. They were kind and inviting, everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the woman in breakfast was very nice and said hello. There was a gentleman who I think was in maintenance that said hello as well. It was just very nice to be greeted by so many people. I choose this property because it was rated #1 on here but for some reason with all positive reviews it's down to 7 now? I think it's number 1!

Room Tip: Rooms that face in towards the pool/patio area are quieter, especially on the 2nd floor. There'...

I stayed here last month. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It looks a little old but the gal at the reception area said they will be remodeling soon. We'll stay again this summer to see how it turns out. Great place at a great price.

Room Tip: Rooms on the patio are quiet

We stayed here is January. The front desk receptionist was wonderful: very pleasant and had lots of knowledge about the community and really good restaurant recommendations. The lady
in the breakfast room was part cook, part waitress and part mom! The room was spotlessly clean and the rate was very reasonable! This is an older building but it has been kept up and maintained very, very well. Why stay anywhere else?

The hotel has promises of "110%" customer service and satisfaction and they deliver. I travel a route within Oregon each month for work and found myself here one month. I was so pleased that, when the opportunity presented itself the next month, I adapted my route to stop in Roseburg because I wanted to stay here again. The staff is extremely friendly, the hotel is very clean and the location is good (it has a shared parking lot with an Elmer's and is very close to the highway -- no, you don't get highway noise in the room).
Only complaint, and it's a minor one at that, is that the rooms are a little dated and could use a facelift. The ammeneties are more than satisfactory though, as is the decor.
