“A gem in the heart of Southern Oregon.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

I was in need of a place to stay and my wife found them online. The owner of the hotel checked me in and found out I was looking for a place to dine before bedtime. He handed me a discount card with a smile.

The I enjoyed the room for a couple of reasons. Good size, a splash of color (Not white and stale.) and a very comfortable bed. When I spoke to the owner in the morning, he mentioned that it was worth it to spend extra money on a comfortable mattress. He truly understood the term "Hospitality"!

The next morning, I woke up to find a landscaped garden area. Even with a light rain, I took a moment to walk along the path. It was a unexpected touch and so very welcome. Considering what I paid for the room, it was a steal!

I realize I am not talking about a room on the Vegas Strip, but for a small city in Oregon, this is a true gem. If I have the need, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the bottom floor if available. Quiet rooms away from the traffic.

We have travelled the I-5 many times over the years, and this is a really good place to stop overnight. The plantings are lovely and display the touch of a real green thumb. A walkway along the river is a pleasant place to stretch your legs. The staff are always friendly and professional, the pool is clean, and the breakfast is of good quality. The staff advised us of a nearby restaurant, McMinamin's, which our family really enjoyed for dinner.
The rates are very reasonable and this motel reflects the best of Oregon, which is a wonderful state.

A big surprise....the rooms were large, a little dated, but very comfortable. It had all the amenities you could want. The breakfast was a little sparse but there is a Denny's right across the street.
Folks that run the hotel are very accommodating.

Room Tip: Eat at Denny's if you are really hungry at breakfast.
