“Absolutely beautiful! A must stop on the coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

The dunes are amazing. No matter how much I read, and heard about them before going, it did not do them justice. We had the opportunity to book a ride on the dunes with a very experienced driver and trainer. We did a 4 seater, a guide and the two of us. It was well worth waiting for a smaller buggy, the rental price was the same. The driver took us on a thrilling ride, we would never have driven and understood the curve of the dunes on our own. He took us to perfect places to gaze and photograph. The light on the dunes were perfect so if you want to take pictures, plan the time of day you go.Will post when I learn how to attach pics.

“60 years old but still Alive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Atv riding at its best! My wife and i have returned two summers in a row to challenge the tallest sand dunes of the coast. We thoroughly enjoy the area as well as the dunes. a black tail deer crossed in front of us in the process of entering the dune area!

“Special Day!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

The dunes were a fun way to spend the day with our children. Had a few mishaps but no one was hurt. Loved the beach, it was a clear day and you could see forever.

We stopped in the rec area to check it out for future trips and were amazed at the size and scope. The area is gorgeous and it looks like the atv riding is fun. We'll be back!

“One step up, two steps back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

We thought it would be fun to see the dunes, but turned out to be an exercise worse than stair climbing! Where we parked you had to walk up a dune to get over the top of the dunes and down to the ocean on the other side. The sand was deep and very loose, walking was TOUGH, especially when you're carrying small children. We got up and over, took a look at the beach (it was cold and windy that day) and headed back to the car. We will look for other beaches in the future!
