Earlier this month I won a 2 night stay at Eagle Crest Resort through a radio station contest, and was excited about seeing the place. I had heard it advertised and knew this was a golf club resort, with condos, vacation homes, restaurants, recreation facilities, etc. located in Eastern OR (just north of Bend). My husband and I had already been planning a trip to that area in July, so it worked out nicely. We were given a room at the main lodge. It was clean, and tastefully decorated (golf motif), with a ground floor patio that overlooked one of the golf courses. However, the room wasn't much different than rooms in middle priced hotel chains, and in fact smaller than some we've stayed in. We were very surprised, as we had expected something classier, especially considering the regular room rates (which I looked up online). I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone pay the regular rate for these rooms, and we definitely won't return on our own dollar. They're overpriced for what you get, and not at all what I would expect for an upscale "resort". The lodge room was also somewhat noisy...we could hear people next door and down the hall coming and going.
