When we checked in, an unusually long line due to a large conference meant an inconvenient wait for us. The desk clerk apologized and willingly accepted my husband's suggestion to waive the parking fee. Nice! The Executive tower is very convenient to everything in downtown area and has easy access to the parking garage. Our room on a high floor had a nice view and all the amenities you'd expect including lovely, comfortable sheets, pillows and bed. When I returned to the hotel with food from Portland's famous food trucks, a waitress in the restaurant graciously provided me with cutlery and napkins to bring up to my room. During our four night stay, split by a week while we went elsewhere in Oregon, all our requests were met with a smile and good service. Very good breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: High rooms have good views of the city.

Stayed for a week. The hotel is definitely just average. The room was comfortable but the a/c was extremely loud and either too cold or too hot, never "just right". Housekeeping was a challenge - they barged in without knocking, they forgot to leave towels, forgot to pick up towels. Location is very convenient, fantastic restaurants and shopping close by, easy access to light rail.

Room Tip: I understand some rooms are very small and poorly configured. We were on a higher floor that had a g...

Recently stayed here for a conference and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Up on the 17th floor, the views are spectacular, the room was clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel is central to about everything Portland has to offer. Will definitely come again. JN

The location for the Hilton Executive Tower is perfect; you can get anywhere from there, and is ideal for shopping downtown. The room, especially the bed, was very comfortable. But the best thing about the Hilton is the service. The breakfast wait staff was phenomenal, especially Sharon, Kathy, and David, who remembered my name and what I preferred for breakfast. They really made me feel special! I recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.

Was a little intimidated by the previous reviews on trip advisor. We checked in late to main hotel. Was offered upgrade to suite in main hotel or room in newer Hotel across the street. Opted for suite in old building. It was wonderful and completely re-done. Bathroom was a little small, but nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Higher floor

This hotel is in a great spot downtown. We walked to everything such as the Willamette River, Powell's bookstore, and Keller Auditorium. My only negative comments would be the fact that there are actually two buildings which was confusing at first, and as others have mentioned the bathroom is small. The shower/tub is fine but the position of the toilet might make it difficult for larger people to use.

I travel a lot on business and one thing that is always a worry is whether I will get a good night's sleep. Of course one can always choose a hotel along way out of the city but as I like to walk or use public transportation as much as possible I prefer a city center location. So I was delighted when I walked into my room at the Hilton to find a spacious and well appointed room where the outside noise was barely audible.

The location couldn't be better. One of the trams (light rail) lines in Portland runs at the front of the hotel and two other lines run a block away to the side giving excellent access to the airport, conference center and all parts of Portland. During my stay the weather was hot so I had the airconditioning on pretty high without the intrusive noise one often experiences with a/c.

One small criticism was the breakfast available at extra cost which, at $18 for an unexceptional buffet was, I thought, a little over priced. The restaurant staff though were very pleasant and helpful.

If business takes me again to Portland this hotel would be where I would want to stay.
