“Visit to Portland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

I recently stayed at the Hilton Executive tower in downtown Portland. The hotel is very comfortable and is quieter than the main hotel across the street. The location is very convenient to downtown Portland and would definitely return.

Easy to find by yourself even when you arrive for the first time to Portland, OR, as it is located inthe very city center close to Pioneer Square. The place is easily reached by a direct tram from the airport. Now the the main building and the executive tower are not connected, you have to cross the road. The standard room had formerly a mini bar which has been removed, its place remains empty. So, the overall assessment is excellent for the location, but somthing could certainly be done to make the stay memorable.

Overall it was a great experience. The hotel location was the best, the room was average, the staff were friendly but only there for a paycheck. The sauna, pool, and hot tub was very clean and maintained. When in Portland again, I will return to this hotel.

Great location in downtown Portland. Close to the bus, Max Train and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Comfy bed and pillows. There are two towers across the street from each other which was odd, seems people get them mixed up and check into one and then walk to the other. Shuttle picks up from the lobby to take to the airport 2x an hour I believe.

I was visiting Portland for work and was delighted to know the Hilton had an indoor pool and full gym so that I didn't have to stop by triathlon training. It was clean with friendly staff and in a great location.

It is highly expensive and there are people at the service who make you feel uncomfortable. Breakfast and dinner were terrible and quite expensive. Just in front of them there is a Fogo de Chao restaurant which is worthy of being there. Otherwise, it does not make sense.

Among the fastest, most efficient and friendly check-ins I’ve ever experienced. We had one of the lower priced rooms, which was small but very adequate in all respects . A few minor issues such as no hooks in the bathroom (or much anywhere else, for that matter) and no refrigerator, but presumably that came with the lower price.
Fast and free (for us) internet access was a bonus and all staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly, like most other Portlanders we encountered.
Very convenient for all downtown attractions and shopping and for the LRT. LRT from the airport costs $2 ($1 if you are an "honoured citizen", as Portland calls seniors) and takes about 25 minutes compared to over $40 in a taxi in about 15 minutes, or more of heavy traffic.

Room Tip: Higher rooms may be quieter, but we had no problem on 5.
