“every bit as good as shown on DD&D”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Great selection of local taps for beer, the dry rubbed West Texas smoked BBQ was full of flavor. Huge portions of tender spare ribs, the brisket was moist + tender + full of flavor, house made sausage was a real taste treat, great collard greens, and the cornbread was outstanding. Expect to go away full, or have food leftover for munchies later. Neighorhood isn't all that great, but hey, this is a triple D spot so what would you expect?

“Amazing BBQ!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We heard about Podnah's from the food network show "Diners Drive in's and Dives". The community atmosphere was pretty cool, and the food was really good. The brisket was good but the pulled pork was amazing!!! The corn bread was delicious, the mac and cheese was awesome, the coleslaw was really good, the baked beans were good if you like the spice and the collard greens were some of the best I've had. The location is a little far from anything else and is in a not so great neighborhood. Because of the popularity I would advise you either make reservations or arrive at least 30 minuets before you actually want to eat.

“Holy Moly!!! The real deal!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

This is an absolute must for anybody who has never had REAL "SMOKED" BBQ. I have been numerous times and have never walked away dissappointed. If theres a bad review on this place, it was written by a competitor.

“Finger licking good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

Couldn't decide what to have so shared the combo plate. Plenty for two, but it was the ribs I want to go back for. They were truly finger licking and a pile of napkin good. For a side, I thought the potato salad was excellent.

“Good food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

I dined there around 5:30 pm on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy and there were 2-3 parties waiting for a table. There were many families with small children too. Brisket is my favorite, so I had to order that and I wasn't disappointed. The corn bread was moist and buttery and not too sweet. There was honey on the table that was great with the cornbread. I had the BBQ beans - very good - and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was in a light vinegar dressing and was very crisp. A great meal all around. The service was good and the restaurant was well-staffed. I had the pecan pie for dessert. It had a very slight hint of molasses and was also great! Parking is all on-street and was in somewhat short supply. It was fairly easy to park on 15th, but 16th was impossible, so try 15th first.
